- From $414.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,338 reviewsIt was better than we expected! All started even before the trip, in Booking messages where the staff asked more so they can prepare for us even better (our food limitations, date and time of arrival and departure, any preferences and requests, ...). When we arrived we were greeted by our lovely host Sony and she was our person to go to for any questions and requests. Each day you would get a message from her with the day's plan and program. The island is quite big and you can walk, see and use quite of facilities - few a la carte restaurants, beach bar, coffee shop, water sports, snorkeling point, gym, sauna and more. The food was really nice. We fell in love with the fresh fruits since e.g. that taste of pineapple you wont get anywhere (or other fruits). Quite of varierities in the food, while some were repeated but we loved it anyway so no problem for us. Regarding the fresh water you would get 1.5 litre of bottled water in every meal. We had full board so you can have at up to 4.5 litres of fresh water only from that. The rest was in our apartment where our lovely mister Pradeep filled every day during the apartment cleanup. We usually had 4 or 5 glass bottles (1 litre each) and this depends on your water consumption, but the thing is - it's included and not additionally charged. You can buy same bottled water you drink in the main restaurant but it is not really needed. I am writing about the water since I read quite of concerns in other resorts and islands. Back to mr Pradeep. Usually there are 2 cleanups in a day, but for us this was overkill so we decided with Pradeep to have only one. But he would clean your apartment twice if you ask him without any issues. Our request was mostly for clean towels, new fresh water and toiletries if needed. But you would get bed cleanup, floor in the apartment and outside along with the pool deck sweeping, along with other clothes folds if lying on bed.Guest review byMislavCroatia
- From $1,055.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewsvisiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Thank you Lizah for your attention, thank you Iqu … it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you Maldives !!!Guest review byGilberUnited States
- From $1,023.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,250 reviewsWe recently came back from what was easily one of our best family holidays. Everything was just perfect. Travelling with two picky eaters (our daughters, aged 10 and 4), we were a bit worried at first, but Chef Satya, Swami and Hemant at Malaafaiy completely put us at ease. They made sure the girls were fed and happy every day, even going out of their way to prepare food that wasn’t on the buffet. That kind of care meant a lot. Our room (687) was always spotless, thanks to Bina. She kept it looking immaculate and was always so friendly. Raail, our host, was fantastic attentive, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We had wonderful meals at Maghrib too. Rohan made a big impression, always checking in and making sure we were comfortable and looked after. At The Olive, we had some lovely chats with Justin at the bar, who brought a personal touch to every interaction. Every staff member we met was kind, professional and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home. This was such a special trip for our family. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories. We’re already hoping to come back soon. Thank you, Popi and Omphile are ready to come back.Guest review byBotseSouth Africa
- From $620 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,150 reviewsWe had an amazing time at Meeru! Even though we’ve been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places, this truly felt like a dream vacation—absolutely spectacular. The resort has fantastic facilities, from a well-equipped gym to a tennis court, soccer field, and even padel. I spent more time exploring the island than in the gym though—walking around paradise is a workout in itself! The staff were wonderful, and both the buffet and à la carte restaurants were excellent. We were lucky to be upgraded from a beach villa to a water villa, and I have to say, it made a world of difference. If it’s within your budget, I’d definitely recommend splurging on a water villa or one with a private pool. We saw so many sharks and colorful fish right from our deck—it was magical. We also went for the all-inclusive option. Even though we’re not big drinkers, it felt worth it just for the peace of mind. Everything is priced in USD and things can get quite expensive, so it was nice not having to think about every meal or drink. All in all, an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!Guest review byLebogangNetherlands
- From $3,449.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 115 reviewsWe had an unforgettable stay at One&Only, and it was made even more special thanks to the incredible team who went above and beyond at every turn. Maricel at the souvenir shop was truly outstanding—warm, attentive, and proactive, she helped us find the perfect keepsakes with genuine care and thoughtful service. Eugene, our Villa Host, was simply the best. Always present yet never intrusive, he ensured everything flowed smoothly, from small comforts to special requests. But the true highlight of our trip was the dive experience with Mo. He brought the ocean to life, guiding us through exhilarating encounters with manta rays and reef sharks, and even helping us upgrade our PADI licenses to adventure dives. His passion, expertise, and calm presence underwater made it a memory we’ll carry forever. Every member of the One&Only staff contributed to the magic of our stay. From start to finish, we felt welcomed, cared for, and truly at home in paradise. Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime.Guest review byKrystlePhilippines
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 43 reviewsExcellent hotel for families with children. A large area overgrown with jungle, the villas on the beach where we stayed are located at a great distance from each other, providing privacy. Delicious and varied food, large and well-made common areas of the hotel (restaurants, shops, diving center etc, I would like to separately mention the "ice-cream bar" with a huge selection of their own delicious ice cream) a stunningly beautiful reef for diving and snorkeling. Very attentive friendly and polite staff - I would especially like to highlight and thank our butler Ainur - who made our stay very rich, interesting and carefree.Guest review byAlexandrKazakhstan

Great location! Very amazing facility- ( amazing staff: very responsive, professional, polite and respectful, very friendly …). The rooms are great, very clean, spacious, it feels like home. The food is very nice. The beaches are amazing and the resort has multiple recreation options. Kids have never been bored, different playing facilities are available. Overall we are highly satisfied with our stay and would like to say thank you to the management and staff. Keep it up.Guest review byMuderis AbdualhiIndia

- From $641.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 239 reviewsI checked so many hotels before going to Maldives and most of them were quiet far and overpriced. Transfer from airport cost more than the actual price you pay for one night stay. But Adaaran Club Rannalhi was the only hotel I came across with reasonable price for transferring from airport to the hotel. Only cost me 160 dollars by ferry both ways.Guest review byFathima HaiqaSri Lanka

One day is plenty.
One day is plenty. You can walk to the main square and all the main sights in one day. Entry to mosques is limited to certain times of the day (1-2) hour window so plan accordingly. Food/drink is fairly pricey and allow for 10% service charge and 17% Tax on published prices. Most places price in USD but will convert to local currency (at the prevailing exchange rate).Guest review byGwyn PryceAustralia - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We liked almost everything.
We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.Guest review byDaniela AntonovaSpain - 10.0
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada
