- From $728.44 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 684 reviewsMy recent trip to Kuramathi was nothing short of extraordinary—an absolute paradise on earth! From the moment I arrived, I was in awe of the crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand, and the vibrant marine life just waiting to be explored. The island has an almost magical tranquility, where every sunset felt like a painting and every morning greeted me with the serene sound of waves gently lapping the shore. The resort was a true luxury experience. Our overwater bungalow offered breathtaking views of the endless horizon. The room was incredibly spacious, stylishly designed, and equipped with everything I could need for comfort. Every detail, from the luxurious bedding to the state-of-the-art amenities, made me feel relaxed. The activities were a dream come true! I spent my days snorkeling in the calm blue waters. The Maldives is a haven for underwater exploration, and I was able to see marine life that I had only seen in documentaries. The private beach dinners under the stars and the decadent spa treatments completed the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. What really stood out was the warmth and hospitality of the Maldivian people. From the welcoming smiles of the staff to the personalized service, I felt like I was treated like family throughout my entire stay. Whether it was the exquisite food or the seamless planning of excursions, everything exceeded my expectations. Leaving the Kuramathi was bittersweet—I was rejuvenated, but I didn’t want the magic to end. If you’re looking for an unforgettable escape to paradise, then Kuramathi is the place to go. I can’t wait to return and create more lifelong memories.Guest review byDeanUnited Kingdom
- From $1,055.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewsvisiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Thank you Lizah for your attention, thank you Iqu … it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you Maldives !!!Guest review byGilberUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,142 reviewsWe had an amazing time at Meeru! Even though we’ve been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places, this truly felt like a dream vacation—absolutely spectacular. The resort has fantastic facilities, from a well-equipped gym to a tennis court, soccer field, and even padel. I spent more time exploring the island than in the gym though—walking around paradise is a workout in itself! The staff were wonderful, and both the buffet and à la carte restaurants were excellent. We were lucky to be upgraded from a beach villa to a water villa, and I have to say, it made a world of difference. If it’s within your budget, I’d definitely recommend splurging on a water villa or one with a private pool. We saw so many sharks and colorful fish right from our deck—it was magical. We also went for the all-inclusive option. Even though we’re not big drinkers, it felt worth it just for the peace of mind. Everything is priced in USD and things can get quite expensive, so it was nice not having to think about every meal or drink. All in all, an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!Guest review byLebogangNetherlands

The location of the resort is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal clear waters and pristine beaches that took our breath away. The staff at Kandima were some of the friendliest and most accommodating we have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that made us feel right at home at Male airport. A special shoutout to Chad, who went above and beyond to help us with our reservation. He patiently addressed all of our questions and concerns prior to our arrival, ensuring that everything was in place for a fabulous stay. His attention to detail and excellent communication skills truly made our experience unforgettable.Guest review byNidunUnited States

We got greeted by Zaki who was very eager to show us around the island and help us with everything we needed. All the rest of the staff was also very polite. The beach was clean and quiet. We had immediate access from our room. We had requested a quiet room because we were travelling with a baby and the request was fulfilled. Our Villa was at close proximity to everything and this was very comfortable for us. Cleanliness of the room was perfect and done twice a day. Beautiful island and so kid friendly! So many activities for the kids, an amazing kids club with amazing ladies to take care of the kids. The Spa was also exactly what we needed.. Loved it!Guest review byKYRIAKIGreece
- From $1,081.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 145 reviewsOur villa was spacious, clean and well equipped. We had amazing views and our own Villa host to handle every request we could have - from restaurant reservations to activities or anything we could think of. Staff was excellent and efficient across the whole resort. Despite being in May, we had plenty of sunshine and the quick rain showers we had only served as a short pause from the sun. This place is amazing, definitely recommend it!Guest review byCarlosFrance

I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We liked almost everything.
We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.Guest review byDaniela AntonovaSpain - 10.0
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada
