ItalyFantastic stay. The property is brand new , all the staff is really nice and cooperative. Rooms are very nice, new with minimal furniture, big and very clean. The sea view is stunning. It is a peaceful place, the only one with its quiet private beach where you can enjoy sunset , baby sharks and rays. You can enjoy dinner right on the beach and the atmosphere is speechless.The food is really nice and the service is very quick comparing to all the other restaurants in the island .They provide you beach towels and there is a common fridge where you can store your staff. Wifi works very well. Wonderful sea, a lot of beautiful beaches nearby (10 min walking to walk throughout the whole island) and many restaurants.

visiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Thank you Lizah for your attention, thank you Iqu … it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you Maldives !!!

Everything was simply fantastic. Despite our early arrival our room was ready and we were checked in hours before the official time. All this was done with finesse and kindness. The facilities are just unbelievably good from the villas, the recreational rooms, the restaurants to the dinning area. There is a huge variety and plenty of food in the buffet. Throughout our stay the facilities were maintained clean. The staff are extremely kind and attentive, while maintaining an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort. With the risk of missing someone, I would like to thank the staff at the buffet Alisha, Sherif, Athik, Aiman, Sonia, Samih, Mohamed, Mahesh, Amjad, Gungun, AJ, Katchaporn, the Chefs. To Azu from the recreation center with her colleagues (the guy who took us for a trip to the local island and the other one who maintains the gym) thank you for spending time to tell us about the stories around the island and your people. To Nikko and the other folks of the reception a big thank you for your prompt and attentive responses to our queries. To Ishan and the other cleaner thank you for keeping our room clean and cosy. To the guys in the water sports centre (Aykko and the other two) and the diving center (Pablo and Valya) thank you for the exiting experiences. To Hanny thank you for the professional photo session. Excellent hotel for families with children. A large area overgrown with jungle, the villas on the beach where we stayed are located at a great distance from each other, providing privacy. Delicious and varied food, large and well-made common areas of the hotel (restaurants, shops, diving center etc, I would like to separately mention the "ice-cream bar" with a huge selection of their own delicious ice cream) a stunningly beautiful reef for diving and snorkeling. Very attentive friendly and polite staff - I would especially like to highlight and thank our butler Ainur - who made our stay very rich, interesting and carefree.

Everything was great. From the check-in process to check-out till the airport was fully supported. We had the all-inclusive package, so there was no hassle with anything. Our check-in staff was Mr. Sham, and he was excellent in helping us during the process. Mr. Hoodh from the Farivalhu Restaurant was very kind in helping us all the time during breakfast, lunch & dinner. The snorkelling around the island was fabulous. The sunset trip with the dolphin watch was fantastic.
Last but not least, Duniye Spa was an awesome experience and a must to do. Lots of activities for adults and kids. A great vacation place.

Everyone was friendly and willing to help if needed, literally everyone!
The food was great, you always can find meat, fruits, desserts.
Before going to this hotel was reading a lot of reviews about spicy food, not sure if something changed but the spicy food was separated and always marked as spicy, there also were spicy sauces if needed.
The villas I stayed are amazing and Chad made a such great work for us to help us keep it clean

Amazing landscapes, delicious food (each day would bring sth new), wonderful, always smiled and ready to help people, reef near the hotel (colourful fish, turtles, sharks and mantas). Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed each day, trip from/to the aiport organized, so just after leaving Arrivals Zone at the airport we were taken care of. Lizzards, bats, tropical birds and a hen ;). No need to wear shoes while walking on the island. No crowds, peace and quiet. Would love to come back there one day....

Magical birthday stay… from the great service and speedboat transfer from the airport, this was truly paradise found. An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people.
An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people. Uneven pavements, loads of motorbikes parked make walking difficult too. Somewhat improved over the last few years. Currently (November 2025) many public facilities closed and sitting down anywhere is clearly not encouraged.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced.
One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life.
The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

The people that work there in the island are very genuine...
The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.
