- From $620 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,151 reviewsMeeru Island resort is definitely the best hotel we ever stayed in. It was our first time on Maldives and we experienced it as a little heaven. The resort is located at about 45-60 min on the speedboat from the Male international airport. The staff met us at the airport and we were welcomed with water. Then at the reception we had an amazing welcome from the staff, the check in was automatically made while we enjoyed their welcome cold tea, then on a buggy you can get directly to the bungalow, the suitcases were brought separately from the staff. The bungalow was very cozy decorate in a tropical atmosphere, very clean - they cleaned it twice daily. On the porch we could enjoy the ocean under the umbrella or you could move the other two sun beds into the sun. The water entrance was so calm and beautiful, the water very transparent and a lot of fish, even some small sharks could be seen, but they are not at all aggressive. It was interesting to enjoy the shower outside, there was also a jacuzzi, though we did not use it. On this island there is only one resort and we can really enjoy an intimate atmosphere. There are 2 big restaurants and 4 smaller ones a la carte available with reservation. But for the all inclusive packages everything was included, all restaurants - the food is very tasty and varied - each day different cuisine at the big restaurants, approximatively all drinks - including a selection of cocktails, juices, spirits, wines and also the drinks from the mini bar inside the bungalow which were daily added, also the package includes daily snorkeling to the local reef on a separate boat - you only have to rent the equipment if you do not have your own - but we went also directly in front of our beach - there were also a lot of smaller fishes and young corals, on another part of the beach we also could admire some manta rays. The staff is very friendly and professional and really trying to make your stay unforgettable.Guest review byIrinaAustria
- From $1,089.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 933 reviewsCommunication - hotel updated our previous hotel on which airport counter to go to. - had a host attended to us whom we can WhatsApp and ask on the rates and availability of activities. - our host, Salwa, was very informative from the start and very friendly and genuine with our children. - Salwa was very clear on her information to us. Hospitality - all the staff were so welcoming to us and our two young ones. Room - spacious, value for money. -daily housekeeping, topped up our bottled water and tea - facing the sea! - swimming pool so our kids could swim to their heart's content. - spacious bathtub (but i think it's more for adults siitting down for spa) Everything else! - complimentary use of their snorkeling equipment - convenient because we could snorkel right at the bottom of our villa (while our two kids nap of course). - love the nets that we could lie down and stare at the sea (fishes, birds) - shallow beach near the jetty which our kids could play if they wanted to play with sand and sea water.Guest review byNurulSingapore
- From $3,449.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 115 reviewsWe had an unforgettable stay at One&Only, and it was made even more special thanks to the incredible team who went above and beyond at every turn. Maricel at the souvenir shop was truly outstanding—warm, attentive, and proactive, she helped us find the perfect keepsakes with genuine care and thoughtful service. Eugene, our Villa Host, was simply the best. Always present yet never intrusive, he ensured everything flowed smoothly, from small comforts to special requests. But the true highlight of our trip was the dive experience with Mo. He brought the ocean to life, guiding us through exhilarating encounters with manta rays and reef sharks, and even helping us upgrade our PADI licenses to adventure dives. His passion, expertise, and calm presence underwater made it a memory we’ll carry forever. Every member of the One&Only staff contributed to the magic of our stay. From start to finish, we felt welcomed, cared for, and truly at home in paradise. Thank you all for the experience of a lifetime.Guest review byKrystlePhilippines

We stayed in a water villa and it was absolutely incredible. Everywhere you look is pure paradise. The facilities are amazing, the food is delicious, and the staff are incredible! Aman, Dewli, and Naleen at the Lagoon restaurant were amazing and ensured we were well looked after each mealtime. Ajlan was our wonderful host and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The staff at the Italian restaurant were also lovely and always had the biggest smile on their faces! This was my second time at the resort and it was just as good as the first time (maybe even better!). I hope to return again soon!Guest review byLucyAustralia

The staff was friendly and attentive, especially our butler Nihan. We also met wonderful servers in both restaurants. I wish I could remember their names to give them a proper shout out. The resort was not too crowded because it is smaller than some of the other major chains, which gave it a very peaceful and romantic vibe. We will definitely come back!Guest review byJenniferIndia

One of the most beautiful places in the world.
One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!Guest review byLaurenL97United Kingdom - 2.0

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere. The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.Guest review byanitaGermany - 6.0

Airport help desk doesn't know anything about Himmafushi. It was tough to manage a boat to Himmafushi from the airport. However, the beach was nice. I enjoyed the scene of small fishes near around the beach.Guest review bySakibur RahmanBangladesh - 8.0

Small island, blue, turquoise, clean and clear water.
Small island, blue, turquoise, clean and clear water. Great place for snorkeling in the house coral reef. All the staff from reception to restaurants, dive center, housekeeping are so welcoming, all with bright smile. Food was top. Dinner was set course and of the highest quality. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. 5 stars to the chef in charge. Sunset spot was surreal. All the beach villas come with private beach, still can't get over the view. Wifi is a bit slow but not complaints since we were not there for the wifi.Guest review byAxelUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Just stunning, white sand, turquise waters full of life and tropical fish, and palm trees. The ultimate relaxation! It was rather hot in February (32C but because if the humidity it felt more like 39C) and we got minimal rain. Highly recommended for this time of the year.Guest review byFay KUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The beach is beautiful.
The beach is beautiful. I´m afraid it would be too crowded in a couple of years as the contruction of new buildings on the island is massive. Would be nice to remove the hakenkreuz that is sprayed on the wall in the harbor. Not a nice welcome sign for tourists.Guest review byZuzanaSlovakia
