This hotel exceeded every expectation. The views were absolutely breathtaking; waking up to that scenery every morning was unforgettable. The room was incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. What really stood out, though, was the service. Newer hotel in a good location. Its an easy 10 min walk to the beach and a 7 minute drive to La Ropa Beach. Our stay was Sunday to Monday and street parking was easy to find directly in front of the hotel, but they also offer limited spaces on the property, first come first serve. Front desk staff were very friendly and although not always at the front desk, they were easy to locate on the property. They have a variety of rooms but we selected 2 standard rooms which where small but on the first floor with a shared patio with hammocks. There is no elevator on the property but the flights of stairs are short. Pool is small and on the top deck (appx. 5 sets of stairs) but deck area is nice. There is an outdoor shower available to rinse off from the beach or after the pool use. Overall, it was a good stay and would recommend.

The breakfasts were healthy, well crafted, and very generous and one was able to enjoy three courses! The staff was terrific, helpful, friendly, personable, hard working and very well trained and great communicators with my limited Spanish! Great people, all!

Initially, I was nervous to book because the hotel is new and didn’t have many reviews. So pleased. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with nine unique rooms. The Neptuno room had a wonderful view of the pool and the ocean, and a large bathroom with two separate sinks. The hotel is a five minute walk down a hill to the beach. The pool was a perfect escape from the heat, the staff was so kind, homemade jams and breads served every morning, and major ocean views. As a solo traveler the staff took care of me and made sure I felt comfortable. I had the chance to use a day pass at the 5-star resort that is a block away, and the experience was totally unimpressive in comparison. Slow service, dirty pool, waiters trying to steal your change…no thanks. Corny, but I can say that Ensueño lives up to its name. It’s luxurious, but not a big hotel with resort vibes, a gym and all that…it’s truly a special place.

    The property was absolutely beautiful! The culture of the staff is what took it to the next level. They were all extremely attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate us. Additionally, the food is breast! Brisas 2 Restaurant is a must try and also their breakfast buffet. All facilities were VERY clean and the housekeeping staff did an exceptional job. I definitely plan to visit again.

    I really liked that the hotel was right on Playa Madera and within walking distance to so many good restaurants. It's also a major enough hotel in the area that tour companies picked us up from it, meaning we didn't have to walk elsewhere to meet up with the tours we purchased. The air conditioning kept the room quite comfortable.

    Ixtapa is obviously focused on the tourist money.

    Ixtapa is obviously focused on the tourist money. Taxi service is good, but bus schedules are sketchy. If you come to go fishing, you can take a taxi to the Zihuantanejo harbor for 150 pesos. I recommend finding a good taxi driver, as we did, and get his card and use the same driver for all your travel needs. Ixtapa has limited shopping for groceries, but Zihuantanejo has a Sams club and larger grocery stores. The Delfiniti Swim with Dolphins venue has gone downhill and is very expensive. There is limited beach access, but the large hotels now claim their beaches as private. Dining is costly so come prepared! Be prepared for hot temps with lots of humidity! The tourist trap tours offered are also costly.

    Welcoming, friendly, happy supportive community of people-locals, artists, fishermen, shop and restaurant owners, expats. Excellent clean beaches, especially La Madera uncrowded and delicious restaurants, especially on the beaches. Wonderful shopping celebrating the creativity and the diversity of the artistic products produced by the local Mexican people. Walkable. Safe. Shared shuttle & taxi available for longer distances. Drinking water is filtered. Yummy local food. And the sunsets breathtaking, spiritually meditative. Did we find paradise?😎♥️

    This was my first time visiting Ixtapa.

    This was my first time visiting Ixtapa. It is a beautiful tropical area. I felt very safe. Easy to get around in. Beautiful walkways, and bicycle paths. Driving around is very easy. I will be making this a permanent destination. There's plenty of fun and interesting things to do for the whole family!

    Beautiful weather, beautiful town, the airport is a super quick customs experience, people are super friendly and as always (I’ve probably travelled to Mexico 20+ times) I didn’t feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any moment. It is not as busy as Cabo and Cancun therefore it’s very affordable and relaxing.

    Consistent hot day or night. Easy and safe to get around. Lots of resorts to pick from. Beaches are clean and no seaweed. Zihuatanejo is a short cab ride away to visit and shop in. Tons to great restaurants near Miramar Beach Zihuatanejo. El Vado is an awesome little boutique restaurant highly recommend. Food is priced right and is excellent!

    Great energy along the promenade.

    Great energy along the promenade. Lots of expat retirees and local families. The town has covered sidewalks to keep you out of the heat. Many different beaches with completely different vibes. We preferred Maderas beach for cleanliness and walking distance to town. Playa la ropa was super crowded - we didn’t stay. Playa Troncones is wonderful, quiet, you can hear the waves on the open ocean - not for swimming with children, strong undertow.
