- From $528.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 325 reviewsI usually don’t write reviews, but this place is pure magic. everything was amazing. I was hesitating to book because of the terrible reviews they have here, but after staying there, I can’t understand them. perhaps it comes from people that don’t understand the concept of the hotel or are looking for a complete different type of holidays… you won’t find a crowded all inclusive resort there, if that’s what you’re looking for. this hotel touched my heart and soul. It gives you the perfect platform to disconnect and reconnect. I felt so connected to myself, to the nature around and overall present and grateful. every corner of this place is specially curated and extremely beautiful. also the daily activities included for the guests are great. i tried the spa and it was exceptional. they have holistic treatments for the body, mind and soul. some of them performed by a shaman. everything was perfect, including the staff… the angels, security, the waiters, mixologists, hostesses, sommelier, bell boys. I was treated with love and care. I felt at home. I was so pleasantly surprised that I had to extend my stay. and if I could, I would have stayed longer. I will definitely come back.Guest review byRebecaUnited Arab Emirates
- From $746.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.7Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 164 reviewsOne of the most amazing vacations we have had in a while! The staff, the rooms, the ambiance, clean beaches, conveniently located, everything was amazing! We spent 5 days here and honestly was so relaxing. Wifi was great, air conditioning, room amenities, all fantastic. I will say the private pool was cozy, although the water was not temperature controlled. The staff is wonderful at assisting with setting up dinner reservations, Cenote tours, towels for the beach, etc. We came in October when the season is slower and with lower occupancy was really nice. Saturday night is their beach club party and well worth it. Pro tip, buy water and alcohol from local convenient store and keep in your room. Water is $6 per bottle everywhere and that adds up just as fast as alcohol. During the party, you can go back to your room and have a few before returning for the party. :) Highly recommend asking the staff for bicycle rentals and using them to get to places during the day! At night however, be mindful and get a taxi for your safety. When we go back to Tulum, high chance we will come stay at PPP again!Guest review byCarolineUnited States
- From $186.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 893 reviewsLocation = paradise. (In terms of views, location) Staff is friendly. Very few people on resort in January, exactly what we were looking for. This is a bungalow so if you expect the comfort of a hotel room with AC and similar comfort you should look elsewhere where. But if you are down for a virgin experience with your room just a few steps away for the ocean and keep in mind that you will hear the waves all night long (inside of your room) then this is gonna be the best experience you can have. Food was great. The beach was always clean. No rocks in the water despite those on the front of the resort’s beach. There is also a part of the beach with no rocks at the front of the water (see the night shot with the string lights).Guest review byDragoșRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 276 reviewsGreen , lush premises with animals on the ground, monkeys visiting. Refillable drinking water bottles, the resort is dedicated to conservation, thank you! Beach is beautiful and clean. The room is spacious with coffee maker and a small fridge. A private balcony with lush , green views. Myan themed decor. Updated bathroom. Touch bracelet to open the door. Iberostar app to look up hrs for buffet, entertainment etc. Good wifi.Guest review byAlenaIzhUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 143 reviewsthe grounds were beautiful! Flora and fauna were lovely as well as the extensive pool area. The beach seating was plentiful, but the ocean floor was rocky in spots. You had to be careful where you entered and exited. Water was just the right temp; waves were perfect for floating with an occasional jump - kids and adults alike!Guest review byMary EvelynUnited States

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. I liked that the rooms were cleaned twice a day. The food was very good. Only lacking was night activities and they need to play American and Caribbean music in the club.Guest review byFay - 2.0

As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!Guest review byCaralynUnited States - 10.0

Very nice beach town which escaped from the big resorts and party places along the Riviera Maya. It has some nice places to eat and drink, so everything you need to find rest and peace with an amazing view and feel of the coastline near CancunGuest review byWouterBelgium - 10.0
My FAVORITE cenotes were at Sac Actun and Ecopark Kantun Chi...
My FAVORITE cenotes were at Sac Actun and Ecopark Kantun Chi. Sac Actun requires a guide, but it's not as expensive as some of the other places. The cenote is beautiful and they provide you with wetsuits (which helps a LOT with the cold) and goggles. It was a very cool experience. Ecopark Kantun Chi has 5 cenotes but we bought the entrance that allows you to go 4 of them without a guide. For us, this was perfect because we could spend as much time as we wanted at each spot and they were all so different and beautiful. I loved #3, which was an open sky cenote with a waterfall and #4, which was a really cool cave with spots where the sunlight streamed in from above. We got to see some lobsters there too. Also a very cool feature is that there are kayaks in several of the cenotes so you get to explore them that way as well. Another cool spot was Languna Yal Ku where we got to snorkel in calm water and see so many different types of fish. I highly recommend wearing clothing that covers your arms and legs since sunscreen isn't permitted and you are directly exposed to the sun the whole time. For meals, we enjoyed traveling to both Akumal Pueblo (for some simple and cheaper meals) and Akumal Playa on the other side of the road for some more variety.Guest review byNatasha - 10.0
What a cool spot!
What a cool spot! We are definitely not the all inclusive resort kind of travelling family. So when we stumbled upon Puerto Adventuras, we were hapily impressed. There was so much to do within walking distance. There is a park, kids camps, beautiful beaches, swimming pools, amazing choice restaurants, and an overall really cool vibe. I liked it because although it felt like - yes this is definitely an international tourist destination - it also felt grounded and down to earth. In addition to the travellers who pass through, many people live and work in Puerto Adventuras giving it a really lovely family neighbourhood feel.Guest review byZoeCanada - 2.0

This hotel is not for families, it was way to much noise all night long drunk people scream in the hallways , our door was nock at 1-3 in the morning woke up our children age 2y, 6y, 8y. The staff were so helpless, unfriendly and rude. Every time we had to eat was so stressful cause the waiters will be so mad and we will ask for things like water they will take for ever to give to us. It was a buffe every time but water wasn’t available or even a spoon. They drop drinks next to ur table they didn’t clean it the whole breakfast we were there, i was so afraid any of us will fall down. Front Thea people never knew the answer. Overall we were so disappointed. It feel like a super cheap hotel, full of a lot of drunk people. I read bad reviews and didn’t payed attention but I wish I did. I’m not happy at all with this hotel experience and I’m not planing to eve go back. The ocean was the only thing was good about our trip.Guest review byDorcasBahamas - 6.0

The restaurant needs better management, Service was terrible most of the guests had to wait almost 2 hours to be served with breakfast. I got tired of that service and started to have breakfast, a better breakfast somewhere else.Guest review byWalterUnited States - 8.0
Small typical town for the area without many tourists.
Small typical town for the area without many tourists. A couple of good local options for simple restaurants (we ate at Los Primos) which offered good food at reasonable prices. Felt perfectly safe to walk/drive around after dark here as well.Guest review byConnieBelgium - 6.0
Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico.
Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico. Not many tourists not many places like restaurants or shops. Its full of sargaso and at the moment properties cant deal with it and many of them are on the beach. But you can have nice excursions to see dolphins at the nature ,we took the fishers boat and went to see dolphins and turtles do some snorkel, kids loved it! But this place is far and the road is not good.Guest review byTravels ExpertLithuania - 10.0

We love this hotel. Just a short walk to a fantastic beach. They let us borrow two folding beach chairs and they supply beach towels. We stayed in Apartment #7. It was quite large, amply cooking supplies in the kitchen, clean and comfortable. We will return.Guest review byJonathanUnited States
