Located in Puerto Escondido, and beachfront to Zicatela Beach, Punta Zicatela Hotel features a garden and terrace. Providing a bar, the property is located within 2.7 mi of Commercial Walkway. We spent a week here and LOVED it! The hotel is pretty new, but the pool and rooms are really nice and the staff is super helpful and gracious. We had a sea view room and it was incredible watching the sunset there - seriously such an amazing room that was exactly what we wanted for our vacation. The beach is really nice and the property has chairs on the beach so you don't ever have to pay anything extra if you don't want to. The hotel is also close to lots of good restaurants and bars! The wifi isn't amazing, but that's the case pretty much everywhere in La Punta.
Located in Oaxaca City, Hotel con Corazón is a socially responsable hotel. They invest their profits in local education projects. I love how the spaces on the property are arranged, the angles of the different floors, the way the natural light enters in many rooms and corners, and the way the jacaranda tree weaves into the structure. The breakfasts are delicious and amply-served. In the rooms, there is something otherworldly of waking up and seeing the unique tile designs on the roof and then entering in the stylish, clean, modern, and minimalist bathroom, also with plenty of natural light. The staff is phenomenal, very kind and attentive, ready to make the best of your experience in their hotel and in Oaxaca. Also the silence in the hotel was really a godsend given the busy street nearby. The entrance, which in itself is just cool to walk down, takes you further into the property, essentially blocking and buffering all the urban noise. Important to mention: the social impact model of their business is impressive and makes me hope others will follow their lead. We definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you!!

Agrado Guest House features free bikes, garden, a bar and shared lounge in Oaxaca City. I loveed the communal dining, the food and the decor of the hotel.
Featuring a garden and views of garden, Posada Olivo is located in Mazunte, an 11-minute walk from Mazunte Beach. The architecture and close attention to detail and quality were top notch. Marco and Roberta are from Italy and their European integrity shines here in Mexico. There were very few square corners in the room, which made for some interesting energetics and perspectives. There are tasteful traditional art objects throughout the room and grounds. Only four rooms here so it never feels crowded with other guests. Kind of like staying in a 'guest house'. The kitchen is very comfortable and spacious. Marco and Roberta are super nice hosts and offer any assistance and advice you may need.
Conveniently located in Oaxaca City, Hotel NaNa Vida provides air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a bar. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a terrace. The hotel and the staff charmed us! Beautiful courtyard with art and decorations from artists in Oaxaca. You are welcomed with handcrafted soap for your stay. The room was simply decorated with local crafts that are well made by artisans rather than in a factory. The staff, especially Francisco, were helpful from suggestions and maps to just making a simple Americano coffee, to giving us a taste of the grapefruit hanging in the courtyard! The owners are passionate about hospitality, but also about helping their fellow citizens. They sell crafts from cities hit by the earthquake-all the profits go back to the artisans. We have already recommended them to other travelers. Bonus: get the tamelito de carne at the connecting restaurant,a specialty from the coastal region of Oaxaca.
Hotel Nonni is located in Santa Cruz Huatulco, a 4-minute walk from Downtown Huatulco/Crucecita and 3.7 miles from Huatulco National Park. Free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk are offered. Staff and location. Super clean and great housekeeping! Love the balcony. This was our second stay in 30 days. Excellent value. Fresh water in lobby area. So close to walk to the tourist corridor to access Bahia Santa Cruz.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Hotel Casa Mixteca is located in Zipolite, on Zipolite Walkway. The beach is just a short walk from Hotel Casa Mixteca. Loved everything about this hotel. Cute little balcony with a hammock to unwind in after a long day at the beach. We had a kitchen that we rarely cooked in but we definitely used the refrigerator to store some fresh fruit so that we can make smoothies with the blender every morning - it was amazing, especially with some fresh coconut water! Even though there was a bar next door, the music was not too loud so it rarely effected us. Yes, the showers are cold but I believe most hotels in the beach towns have cold water, which was refreshing after being in the heat during the day.
Featuring bar, a sun terrace with a swimming pool and a shared lounge, Shavanna Hotel Boutique is located in Puerto Escondido, 2.3 miles from Zicatela Beach and a 20-minute walk from Downtown Puerto... Oaxaca is a beautiful city, filled with great restaurants, shopping and friendly people. We walked everywhere and felt very safe wherever we were at any time of the day or night. The cultural center is a must see. Also the day trips are worth the time and they are very reasonable. We will return to Oaxaca and recommend it to our friends.
We are fans of Oaxaca coming here on several occasions. The soul of this old colonial city makes you forgetting your worries and dress of your daily life. If you are looking arnaud the real spirit of Mexico and he real values of simple things in life, then you’ll find it here: happiness, easy going life, unstresfull, people smiling, humble, nice and friendly. You can feel it at around corners, you can even dance on traditional music on the street and give a few pesos as a contribution which helps a lot the people leaving here. The handcrafted art is something special and unique in Oaxaca. You can’t leave without it! Just beautiful place where to stay with a wonderful climate.
Oaxaca - historic part of town is a true gem: old buildings being restored; lots of beautiful art galleries; local art is colorful and unique. Beautiful weaving and textiles by local Indian tribes - gorgeous handwork. Lots of places to dine and enjoy in the historic part of town. The breakfasts and lunches are not to be missed in La Quinta Real - historic part of town, a former monastery, beautiful interior...You must do the tour at the etnobitabical garden on grounds of Sto. Domingo Cathedral. Tours are in English.
I love Oaxaca City. The old colonial center is walkable and always interesting, full of people and life, with buskers, musicians, families, lovers and tourists out for a paseo, shopping, hustling, and entertaining. The food is renowned. Try Zandunga, Mesquite, Biznaga, La Popular. Los Pacos has a tasting dish of all 7 of the main moles. In Situ is a veritable museum of mezcals. The big market, Centro de Abastos, is vast, with very few tourists, but tons of local necessities. Lots of museums and gardens. And ancient ruins. And artisanal crafts. For language schools, check out Instituto Cultural Oaxaca. I could go on. See for yourself.
Oaxaca is a great and safe city to visit The best gastronomical state in Mexico Great for tourism, all tour agencies are affordable, well organized and great The people in Oaxaca is really nice and take care of tourism Great attractions like the city center, el andador, Hierve el Agua, Mitla, Monte Albán You don’t need to rent a car, taxis are cheap and common, the tours are better with a guide and cheap, also bilingual
Oaxaca is beautiful in its people, architecture and culture. The old city is gorgeous and very walkable with excellent and creative restaurants. It feels safe all the time and is central to great day trips to Monte Alban (don’t miss) and Hierve el Agua (worth the trip). Do a little research before you go and you will have a great time.
Oaxaca is an awesome place to visit, it has a large variety of traditions and beautiful culture. It is a great place to have a relaxing vacation. It’s food is delicious, exotic and super interesting. There are a lot of great and interesting places to visit and many places to learn about the traditional drink: Mezcal. Visit restaurant Boulenc, everything is delicious and special. We also enjoyed restaurant Los Danzantes. Both of them are very busy and don’t accept reservations on vacations , so be sure to arrive early!
Simplemente amo Oaxaca, por su comida, su chocolate, sus lugares y zonas arqueológicas. Sus playas y la hospitalidad de la gente. Es mi estado favorito de Mexico.
Oaxaca city and all of its people are some of the warmest, helpful and welcoming people I have met in Mexico. The Bnb that I stayed in, El Diablo y La Sandia, made my stay there so comfortable. They went out of their way to help me with some medical issues that I had. Also, the restaurant/bakery, Boulenc, was also very accommodating with my issues and I was able to enjoy my week stay there as comfortable as could be. I plan to go back next year!
Friendly and charming small village outside Oaxaca. Very glad we spent time here. From collectivo trip to Hierve del Agua, the ruins of Mitla within the village, our very nice Hotel Don Cenobio right in the center of town. Small shops -especially Guadelope's artistically hand painted (by her son)& filled with lovely hand made items, located on the corner across from Don Cenobio hotel; many artisans- especially "Artelar" fabulous traditional weaving and embroidery by Emiliano and Delfina; great food, especially Dona Chica. I could go on and on. We were definitely happy here.

The views from the rooftop is amazing!!! This hotel is beautiful and of great value. Queen bed was super comfortable. The room/bathroom was all really clean! The Security safety box was great to have with easy instructions. Staff were really helpful. Laundry service was really convenient and cheap. The courtyard is fantastic. It's about a 15-20min walk to the Zocalo but a 10min walk to Santo Domingo church, gardens and amazing restaurants in the north part of Oaxaca city central. Overall had a really comfortable stay at Un Sueño!

The staff was both very professional and friendly, going out of their way to help us. To a great extent the experience is determined by the staff and they were great. Luis gave us great advice about what to see and where to go as well as showing great patience with my fractured Spanish. The hotel lobby and rooms were impeccably clean. The location is ideal. It is only a couple of blocks to the Zocalo and mere steps away from wonderful restaurants. I will definitely stay at Casa Antonieta on our next visit to Oaxaca.

The staff, the vibe and the place could not be better. The concept of the hotel is outstanding, they support artists from all over the world and have created an eco-friendly, beautiful reflection of Oaxaca. Breakfast is delicious, the rooms are super comfortable, the guests are all friendly and it’s a great place to arrive if you’re a solo traveler. Mexican owned and operated, outstanding.

We arrived in Oaxaca by bus at 5am and the staff not only let us in, but was able to put us in a room right away. It was so helpful and allowed us to get some rest before heading out for the day! The breakfast was so yummy, lots of options. The bathroom was very clean and we loved our huge shower & warm water! The hotel is also just a short walk from the downtown area. We loved our stay!

We returned to Casa Antiqua after several years and were delighted to find that the experience and service were as good as our first time. Oaxaca has evolved and been discovered, and this lovely hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the action. The rooms are well appointed, and the addition of valet parking for our rental car made coming and going very easy.

The staff were very good. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The location was the best. Only 4 blocks from the main square and 5 min walks to the 3 large markets that had everything that Oaxaca has to offer. So much to see. The restaurants close by were very good. Taxis and buses were abundant.

This hotel is a beautiful little oasis in Oaxaca city. We absolutely loved the pool and the peace and quiet of the property. We found ourselves walking ~15 minutes to get to the restaurants that we wanted to go to but it was well worth it for the peaceful setting of the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Casa Mercedes for over three weeks in Oaxaca while attending a Spanish Language School. We found the Hotel to be excellently located, priced correctly for the value and the staff very courtesy and helpful.

The main reason we chose Oaxaca Real was for it's free parking and great location, and it was definitely worth it! Also, the staff was great. Other than that, the hotel itself is pretty mediocre.

Friendliness of staff, many plants and water features, roof top for reading, wonderful area to buy breakfast. The Oaxacan atmosphere of the whole hotel, not boringly modern.
