- From $822.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.6Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 167 reviewsOne of the most amazing vacations we have had in a while! The staff, the rooms, the ambiance, clean beaches, conveniently located, everything was amazing! We spent 5 days here and honestly was so relaxing. Wifi was great, air conditioning, room amenities, all fantastic. I will say the private pool was cozy, although the water was not temperature controlled. The staff is wonderful at assisting with setting up dinner reservations, Cenote tours, towels for the beach, etc. We came in October when the season is slower and with lower occupancy was really nice. Saturday night is their beach club party and well worth it. Pro tip, buy water and alcohol from local convenient store and keep in your room. Water is $6 per bottle everywhere and that adds up just as fast as alcohol. During the party, you can go back to your room and have a few before returning for the party. :) Highly recommend asking the staff for bicycle rentals and using them to get to places during the day! At night however, be mindful and get a taxi for your safety. When we go back to Tulum, high chance we will come stay at PPP again!Guest review byCarolineUnited States
- From $414.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 1,154 reviewsFirst and foremost this place is a hidden gem. The lobby area needs upgrading it will disappoint you at first. I wasn’t too impressed when I arrived. Actually was ready to book somewhere else. However, it was super bowl night and I knew I wouldn’t find anything right away. So we stayed. And I’m so glad we did! Once we got pass the lobby situation and headed to our room it was like paradise! We had the Junior Suite swim up room. Amazing! The property is great! The beach and the staff. We had a conceiage named Fabian. He was magnificent! He’s what made our stay amazing! Not to mention we were celebrating our 31st anniversary. We did not have to want for anything! If you can get pass the lobby! Don’t let it discourage you. I promise you it will be good!Guest review bySimon & ChevalUnited States
- From $197.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 900 reviewsLocation = paradise. (In terms of views, location) Staff is friendly. Very few people on resort in January, exactly what we were looking for. This is a bungalow so if you expect the comfort of a hotel room with AC and similar comfort you should look elsewhere where. But if you are down for a virgin experience with your room just a few steps away for the ocean and keep in mind that you will hear the waves all night long (inside of your room) then this is gonna be the best experience you can have. Food was great. The beach was always clean. No rocks in the water despite those on the front of the resort’s beach. There is also a part of the beach with no rocks at the front of the water (see the night shot with the string lights).Guest review byDragoșRomania
- From $264.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 3,766 reviewsWe (family of five) had a wonderful experience in this hotel. There is space for every kind of people, whether you want to relax and rest or whether you want to have fun in the party. The staff is extremely friendly, , Blanca Quezada from reception, Ernesto with glasses from reception, Roberto Rodas from the beach and many more always looked out for our comfort. The food is very good, the buffet, especially breakfast, there is a lot of variety to choose, fruits, pancakes, eggs, salmon, cooked meals, variety of breads, salads, mexican dishes, etc... Rooms are very comfortable. We wanted to read and relax and our room was very silent, we could only hear the sound of the sea. We would definitly go back.Guest review byVerdaItaly
- From $1,897.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 60 reviewsIt was absolutely stunning and immaculately maintained. The staff was incredible and so attentive. The food at both restaurants was also amazing. We traveled with our 6 year old and we all loved it. An added bonus was the heated private pool with each casita. We loved our morning and evening swims.Guest review byMargaretUnited States

Mid-September and the weather was unbelievably awful. 100 degrees and 98% humidity. I definitely came at the wrong time of the year. This place is party central; if you're not a partier, I'd suggest staying someplace closer to what you enjoy; if you're a diver, I'd suggest Puerto Vallarta. If you're into archeology, I'd suggest Playa del Carmen. But if you're a newlywed and only into partying and booze, this is your place.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10.0

We love this hotel. Just a short walk to a fantastic beach. They let us borrow two folding beach chairs and they supply beach towels. We stayed in Apartment #7. It was quite large, amply cooking supplies in the kitchen, clean and comfortable. We will return.Guest review byJonathanUnited States - 10.0

As a family with tweens we did not enjoy Tulum & will not be back. The kids were not allowed many places/ restaurants. Algea covered the beach (it was july), the restaurants were priced higher than where we live but the quality of the food was poor. If you are a family I would skip and go elsewhere. The cenotes in the reason are awesome!Guest review byCaralynUnited States - 2.0
Small town with terrible infrastructure.
Small town with terrible infrastructure. It is a shame to keep it in misery conditions with the loads of money brought by tourists, mostly foreigners happily walking in mud, dirty water ponds, as they walk in the luxurious boutiques owned by other foreigners. You may find amazing nature in many other Mexican destinations in better living conditions.Guest review byalejandrortizMexico - 10.0

Check out the two light shows at the downtown church and the ex-convent. Both, unfortunately start at 9pm so you might have to catch them at two different times. For more affordable food options, don't bother eating at the Calzada de los Frailes restaurants. Most places are overpriced!Guest review byHugoUnited States - 10.0

Lake is beautiful, weather is great (despite the sudden changes), and feeling closer to nature is amazing. You have good food around, but several places are prepared to have foreign visitors spend lots of money for not-local foods. Seek for smaller non-fancy places to eat in order to taste real Mexico (don't eat a steak here... this is no meat land but seafood instead!). Need a car to do everything you want and need to enjoy Bacalar (highly recommended). Place is safe to walk around 24/7. Buy some goodies and drinks in advance to getting to your hotel to have something handy when everything is closed (remember, Southern Mexico opens late, takes a mid-day nap, and closes not that late). Take a hat, confortable sandals and water-based sun protection to avoid harming the corals. And Please, don't complain about animals and bugs: that is call NATURE!!Guest review byThe Traveler PenguinMexico - 10.0

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving.
I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving. While the people are friendly and the number of good restaurants has increased over that time, unfortunately the reef has been degraded effecting the diving experience. Its is my contention the powers that control Cozumel care more about making money from cruise ships than the environment, local people or infrastructure of Cozumel.Guest review byRobertaCanada - 10.0
