The location was great and felt safe; the building is cute, with a semi-outdoor kitchen/dining area in the courtyard. Maybe a little chilly in winter when it gets down in the 50s in the mornings and evenings, but it was fine when I was there in November. The family who runs it lives there and uses the kitchen so you can interact with them some, which is nice.

My only reason to stay was to visit El Tajín, so I only stayed for one night. It was the cheapest option in Poza Rica and it is near a big Chedraui supermarket.
It's more than a hostel. it's a home stay. you feel like a family with the couple running the hostel. they will help you with everything, tours, information, tickets, everything. Its nice and clean. close to everywhere. Hot shower, full functioning kitchen. Laundry is free if you have your detergent. it's generally an amazing place to stay
