It is a small peaceful town with lots of shops you find in big cities. The food is cheap. The Pasar Tani was interesting. It is situated behind Restoran Berkat. This restaurant consists of a few stalls serving local delicacies. A must come for people not familiar with the local food. There is a more modern township called Amanjaya for the younger ones. Small town, not suitable for shoppers. Recommended for those who enjoying eating. Recommended place is Dusun Riffa which can spend time from 9 am - 7 pm with good scenery, clean place and very good food. Also recommended KinKin Restaurant which is cheap but tasty. Most happening area of Langkawi. Only beach with sports activities like parasailing, water scooter, boats, kyaking etc. Lots of cafes around and and a big flee market with multiple duty free shops nearby. Above all underwater world is also at 2 mins of drive from pantai cenang beach.
