EVERYTHING! Very nice staff, delicious breakfast (both salty and sweet), opportunity to directly book trips and scooters from the hotel. Excellent Experience! If I visit Langkawi again, I would definitely stay here. It's just 2 - 3 minutes drive from the airport, which is super convenient. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of items with a new menu each day. The hotel was very comfortable, with a great washroom and an amazing view. They even provided extra water bottles at no charge. The best part? They had YouTube and a selection of great movies to watch. Absolutely loved the experience!

It's a small hotel so the personal touch from the owner and staff makes this place stand out from large hotels. The breakfast is wonderful and includes local specialties so overseas guests can try Malaysian food. We had to leave early on our last day (before breakfast starts at 8am) and the owner personally made the breakfast for us at 7:30 before his staff arrived which was very kind because we expected to forego breakfast. The location is in the middle of the island, off the tourist track which we liked, but you will need a car or use Grab to get around.

Really nice place to stay, top notch service.. everyone was so nice and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean.. they also had a bar which we could enjoy at anytime.. they even had island hopping and other activities which we could book through them which made things more convenient.. they even guided us and provided necessary equipment for the island hopping (towels, waterproof bags etc). I would definitely recommend others about this place and would definitely love to come back here. Plus the location was amazing, close to the beach, restaurants nearby.. parking space was also good

    By far the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The Datai is located in a stunning 10 million year old rainforest and has so much charm. It’s truly stunning. It’s relaxing and peaceful. We chose this property due to its efforts and commitment into conservation of the local nature (fauna and flora) and their efforts with sustainability. This was clearly evident. Seeing the giant squirrels , dusky langurs, hornbills and more were a highlight and just incredible , especially to see them thrive in the area. Shout out to Dev! our very knowledgeable rainforest guide who is so passionate about conservation and sustainability! keep it up Dev! The room, all the dining areas, pool areas and beach area were immaculate and so relaxing. We have never been so well looked after by all of the staff. The staff are outstanding. Everyone is so friendly and they always know who you are and what your needs are. No words can justify just how incredible the Datai is. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable and relaxing stay. we can’t wait to come back soon.

    As an older couple, staying in Kuah was a much better option for us than busy Cenang Beach. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, a night market with great satay and taxis are plentiful for travelling further afield. It was economical to hire a taxi for the day to take us to the cable car and a general tour of the island. The mangrove tour bus picked us up from the hotel for a day out in the geo park. At the end of each day it was delightful to come back to a large comfortable room, with an awesome view, excellent bathroom with bath and separate enclosed shower recess. The laundry service was first class. The buffet breakfast included some western options like cereal, scrabbled eggs, toast, pastries etc. but there was a large range of delicious local and Chinese fare. Who needs bacon and eggs when you can have nasi lemak...

    The villa was exactly like what we we were expecting. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room service forgot to clean the room in the morning and when we came back to the villa at night after informing the front desk the cleaners came within 15 mins at 10 pm. Extremely good service.     Kuah is just about decent but i would prefer the Cenang Beach area . If you can't get a hotel there, Kuah should be your next choice. The Island is small so you can get around in under 30 minutes to any spot of the island.

    The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The Thai Restaurant was amazing - getting to the Sky Cab was just walking distance, that's worth a visit. I did a Mangrove Tour which was pretty good... I went on my own but a group tour might have been just as good.

    Great beach, not to many people, good to watch the sunset. But lots of it is privat and your only allowed to walk along the shore in these parts, which is kinda sad and stupid as you wouldnt disturb anyone by staying there. but the public places are great too so not too much of a let down.

    Most happening area of Langkawi. Only beach with sports activities like parasailing, water scooter, boats, kyaking etc. Lots of cafes around and and a big flee market with multiple duty free shops nearby. Above all underwater world is also at 2 mins of drive from pantai cenang beach. Above all vegitarian indian food is also available in few restaurants of pantai cenang market.

    Kuah was nice, the locals were very friendly and we found some restaurants that served great food, however, our accommodation could have been better. There were things in the apartment that did not work and we had a booking for 5 adults but there were only two coffee cups, four chairs. Lock on the balcony door didn't work and neither did the lock on bedroom 1 window. Also, it took a couple of days for the wi-fi to work correctly.

    Malaysia itself is built on tourism use, I didnt like the fact that you have to pay to use bathrooms specially in touristic areas where you will spend already inside as there is food, shops and activities, and also you have to pay for a bathroom and extra for tissue. which made it a struggle if you walk with no money. most of the adventures are not priced you are given a different price and every tourist is given a different price, and the staff claim they dont know if you ask any question that would make them not profit. overall its a very beautiful city, but it is not a place I would go to again.

    Its a sleepy place, not a party zone like pantai cenang.

    Its a sleepy place, not a party zone like pantai cenang. Its a place to connect with nature and rest, just afew food places nearby, all of which are good, lovely spot for sunset watching. Perfect stay at eagle eye, romantic stay with my boyfriend. Very nice place to relax and spend time in nature.
