The buffet breakfast offered so many food choices it was quite incredible! From smoked fish to eggs, granola, meat, bread, fruit among other foods. The room was very large and comfortable with a well set out bathroom. The hotel is right on the marina so a great place to view the water and all the boating activities daily. The hotel is an easy walk to the dyke and walking to the town of Lemmer itself and to the UNESCO Woudegemaal pumping station nearby. The apartment looks new, with nice tv and good kitchen equipment. There mosquito nets all over which allow you to keep the windows open (really important cause the house gets really warm) We rented bikes, the kids like to jump the trampoline and driving kids small 4 wheels cars. We have visited Lemmer many times over the years and are happy to find many of the same restaurants and bars still going (especially after Covid). It is a vibrant, friendly town, based around the Ijsselmeer and canals, many boats of all shapes and sizes. We didn't swim in the Ijsselmeer (it was May, and bear in mind it used to be part of the North Sea!) The harbors are really nice, and there are nice views, a lovely city. And perfectly cycling place to Lemmer. The train station is a little bit far, so if you are cycling to Lemmer and want to transfer by public transport in the middle, it's not that easy.,Guest review byXiaojuanNetherlands
