There was also an activity room a few floors down for older kids (ping pong table etc). The indoor pool was great! The spa had a quiet section that was separate from the pool, I really liked this as it made me comfortable bringing my kid to the pool without being a nuisance to others. Great breakfast for both kids and adults! The restaurant also had a decent kids menu for dinner. Great outdoor area to let your kids run around (also with mini golf). Dombas is an excellent stopover coming back from the fjords to Oslo. I stayed at the campsite located on top of the village which offers nice cottages and views of the surrounding mountains. The area offers plenty of hiking trails and 5-6 hours moose and muskOx safaris not far from Dombas starting at 10am. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the safari since I stayed just for the night and left in the morning. All amenities are located in one spot at the Dombas Senter which includes petrol & many fast charging stations, cafeterias, a couple of restaurants, supermarkets and a huge souvenir shop all at reasonable prices. We ate at Moskusgrillen located on the opposite side. The restaurant offers some traditional food, meats, juicy burgers and large pizzas. We tried the deer burger, ribs and pizza and were all very good. I will definitely go back.Guest review byCass - 10.0

Beautiful countryside and the Rondane mountains. Also, easy access by car from the main Oslo to Trondheim.main road. First went there in 1974, still love the area. Ringebu is very walkable (15 minutes gets you from one end to the other) and well serviced with supermarkets, clothing stores etc. Visit the historical Ringebu stave church not too far away, its an 800 year old church built in the 12th century. Nordseter is beautiful but quiet - it only has a couple of hotels and mostly comprises private lodges and houses. Lillehammer in winter is enchanting - snow covered, charming shops, lots of people around. Walking the town is very interesting - great views of the river valley, interesting architecture. If you like to cross country ski, this is the Mecca! hundreds of kilometers of ski trails nearby, groomed everyday. I was focused on skiing, then an afternoon walk. There are a couple worthy museums. It was one our best cabin experiences. The hosts were great and very responsive, and flexible. They visited personally to ensure everything is alright. We got all the help right away. The cabin itself was very clean and the facilities provided were more than what is mentioned on the booking e.g., the cabin also had BBQ facilities, hair dryer, hand soaps. The view was awesome.
