- From $230.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 930 reviewsThe view from the hotel was spectacular. It was a quick and easy drive to Nordheimsund, which is where many tours take off. Like many other hotels in Norway, there is a wide and excellent selection for breakfast. Something for everyone. We had to leave earlier on our final morning before the start of breakfast but they had everything set out for us to self-serve. The restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey. This is typical of Norway, however. The pool at the connecting sports facility was convenient and fun.Guest review byLynn ShonUnited States
- From $346.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 259 reviewsThe cottage had the most spectacular view right from the floor to ceiling windows in the main area of the cottage! Modern apartment, appliances excellent. Great shower, washing machine and decent beds. Don’t pass this place by! it’s worth spending the extra money for it ! (bring your own provisions such as spices, cooking oil, coffee etc). Great place to camp as well if you’re a camper or have an RV.Guest review byHopeUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 984 reviewsAmazing location!!! Surrounded by waterfalls and loads of hiking trails. Of my two weeks touring Norway, this was in the top 3 best places I stayed. Beautiful interior has an elegant vibe and highlights the history behind this old hotel. Dinner was sublime (grilled reindeer with baked pear) and staff was very friendly. You can’t beat the incredible view and plethora of hiking options at your doorstep.Guest review byShellieUnited States
- From $111.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 1,459 reviewsThe shower rooms were very clean and spacious, and the token system for the hot water was easy to use. The room was clean and warm, the bed was comfortable, and the wifi was fast and reliable. Additionally, the self check in process was simple and seamless. The parking lot was large and convenient to the rooms. Note that if you have a second floor room, you’ll have to carry your luggage upstairs.Guest review byThoaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 214 reviewsCannot beat location and views (especially from the top suite) of Vikinghaug! It’s a stay to remember and an experience by itself. A historic building featured in Netflix’s show Rognarok. The staff is very friendly. Very clean. There is even a washer in our suite so we did some laundry. If you stay in Odda as a base for the Trolltunga hike, this location is an easy drive to it.Guest review byJoyUnited States

Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord...
Vickinghaug is set amongst incredible Norwegian fjord scenary. It has the other point of interest in that there is a, no longer functioning in its original capacity , factory in the middle of the Fjord. Because it poses no environmental problems any longer. This factory gives the Fjord an interesting historical relevance. The proprietors are obviously always improving the function of the accomodation to suit lots of different styles of travellers. We stayed in a three bedroom, self catering apartment with views on both sides. We had a drink in the evening looking over the lake and the waterfall and dinner at night looking over the Fjord. The walks in the area are popular because they are so full of natural beauty and thus attract many hikers and campers . The town felt slightly off piste from the over used tourist pathways which suited us perfectly.Guest review byRosemary SusanAustralia - 10.0
Eidfjord is a really beautiful city.
Eidfjord is a really beautiful city. We enjoyed every moment there with those landscapes. Mountains, river and sandbeach will give you more relaxiation. You will have everything that will need for your stay. There is a small supermarket as well though we didn't think about the price ;-)Guest review bySandunSri Lanka - 10.0

We went from Bergen to Odda on Saturday and spent one night at the hostel. We went for the hiking on Sunday early morning and back to Bergen at the afternoon. The small town is really cosy and beautiful.Guest review byYuxueNetherlands - 8.0
All the restaurants and the hotel were closed.
All the restaurants and the hotel were closed. Not possible to eat out. The factory sale shop was closed at Saturday, to bad, because this is normally a shopping day in the bigger cities. The foodstore Spar was ok, selling much more than Food (toys, clothes, Fishing Equipment, hiking Equipment, house Paint, interior articles, knitting wool, fabrics etc).Guest review byNinaNorway - 10.0
The Ulvik cideries were fantastic.
The Ulvik cideries were fantastic. Walking, biking, and jogging around the town and the surrounding area was so fantastic. One of the farms has an Excellent bakery that is open on Friday afternoon (only for a few hours that one day). Kayaking in the fjord was incredible. Exploring the surrounding areas and waterfalls was simply amazing. Great hikes all around. The town has limited options for groceries and places to eat out, but nevertheless provides everything needed. Definitely worth a visit for a quiet spot to explore the beautiful nature of Norway.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
We stayed in Jondal only 1 night.
We stayed in Jondal only 1 night. If you want to visit Glacier, it is better to stay 2 nights. You need basically 1 day for Glacier, and honestly I would love to join more the hotels and the views. The hotel was amazing and we didn’t have time to enjoy it. After Glacier we drives directly to Stavanger.Guest review byKaterynaSpain - 8.0
The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-...
The accommodation was spacious, new, modern and well-equipped. It is a series of separate apartments on the first, second and third floors. Access is from a door on the street and it is not possible to unload a car from in front of the building. You have to park in another location but there is plenty of free parking available nearby. To get up to the apartments there is only a narrow stairway. The first floor apartment has a door opening on to a large roof-space with very nice views of the fjord and surrounding town.Guest review byCarolinaBrazil - 10.0

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car. And the town is small, quiet and charming.Guest review byMiguel AngelNorway - 6.0
Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns.
Tyssedal and Odda are both industrial towns. There are mountains, the fjord and waterfalls, but there are also large heavy industry factories - one produces titanium oxide and one is a zinc smelter. They are there because they need power and there is a ready source of power from the hydro electric station located inside the mountain at Tyssedal. The location is great if you want easy access to Trolltunga and Bondhusvatnet, but it isn't very touristy - it is more of an industrial area. The Kraftmuseum is excellent. We ended up there because it was raining in the morning - however, it was really good - a film and then a guided tour of the old hydro electric station which has been restored. It also gives a lot of information about the area, how it changed from farming to industry and why it is so industrial. So to summarise - use Tyssedal/Odda as a base but don't expect unspoilt scenery.Guest review byGayeUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Odda is quite small and the place is not too far from city...
Odda is quite small and the place is not too far from city centre. There should be an additional information about rent of duvets and bed sheets for 10 euro or 100 nor coron (they do not accept cards so you have to take cash from atm). Ppl at the reception are nice. However the information about limits in water quite weird. In Norway everything is a bit more expensive but comping just Bergen to Odda, Odda you have to multiply prices for accommodation. Quality wasn't that high, room clean but showers are need to be improved. Also they need to inform ppl to close the door from kitchen as smell is going around the whole building. Enjoy your stay don't forget to take your tracking shoes before entering the building. :)Guest review byBartoszIreland
