United StatesThe room was cozy. The floors in the bathroom are heated and the shower was exquisite! I am most impressed with the helpful and friendly staff. The front desk staff in particular were extremely kind and lovely.

Sortland was a great place to stay for a family of four interested in nature and history in Vesterålen. We had a rental car and drove around to different places every day during a week. Sortland is the main city and the center of life in the Vesteralen archipelago, meaning that it has good shopping possibilities. It is not particularly attractive as a city but a good stopover. Its pecularity is an artistic move to paint buildings in blue, in order to belie its name, meaning 'the Black Land'.
