- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 270 reviewsI spent two weeks in Oman but definitely this was the highlight of the trip. We were picked up by the owner from Al Wusta (as we didn't have a 4x4) and he drove us to the camp. There was only one group of friends and the rest of the camp was empty, which was nice as we chose this specific camp to relax and disconnect. Nice activities were offered (other guys did the dune bashing). The owner spent a really long time talking to us - he was the nicest person in the already very friendly country. The staff working there was very polite and helpful. Food options (including vegetarian!) were amazing, for the desert I think it was almost luxurious. I will always recommend this camp to everyone, it was really nice and peaceful. This camp is a gem of Wahiba Sands. And the tallest dune is located right next to the camp, which is a must to climb (although exhausting). The sunset was beautiful. The owner really cares about his business and the guest, as well as his staff.Guest review byKosmaBelgium
- From $196.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 250 reviewsWe had an absolutely amazing experience at Safari Desert Camp! As a family of four, we were all thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our stay. The huts were clean and exactly as shown in the pictures — no unpleasant surprises, just beautiful simplicity and comfort. The meals were another highlight of our stay — both breakfast and dinner were generous, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. We truly enjoyed every bite. The activities we tried were fantastic and unforgettable. From the adrenaline-filled quad bike ride to the peaceful camel ride and the thrilling dune bashing — everything was well-organized, safe, and full of adventure. A special thank you goes to Omar, our host, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. His hospitality truly made our stay exceptional. If we could, we would give them 11 stars! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience.Guest review byNinaSlovenia
- From $386.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,294 reviewsCharming, great atmosphere, clean and beautiful place! Amazing experience! They offer super tasty food (breakfast + buffer dinner with camel bbq!!) and cinema under stars. There are camels living by the camp, you can also have a ride with them or just per them of you like! The camp offers pick up service from the village close by, all perfectly organized. At the place you can book additional activities- we took sunset watching at dunes for 30min, price 21rials per car (up to 3 adults) so very reasonable amount. It was great experience and much recommended for everyone! The driver - Khalid was driving by the dunes, he is originally from this area and knows desert as his own pocket 😊Guest review byPaulinaPoland
- From $98.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 915 reviewsWe loved this desert camp. It was recommended to us by our tour guide. What sets it apart is that it is located deep within the sand dunes and not along the main road through the desert. We also enjoyed the dune bashing / sunset tour as well as the camel ride to view the sunrise from the high dunes. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Oman.Guest review byJorgeUnited States

Loved the sunset drive on the dunes.
Loved the sunset drive on the dunes. Dune bashing was fun and you can tell your driver what version of this you want - soft to fast ! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Make sure you book your seat at outdoor dining to avoid not getting a seat if the camp is full. Also book activities as soon as so you get your preferred time. Food was great - huge selection in the buffet and the musical entertainment was a great surprise !Guest review byAliceUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The desert is very beautiful here.
The desert is very beautiful here. Despite the multitude of camps, it is not a problem to have a perfectly quiet and serene evening or morning walk among the dunes. If possible, aim for a moonless night to enjoy the full splendor of the night sky.Guest review byMarkoBulgaria - 6.0

The resort is nice, I think there is a huge investment in the resort , although I think it will be better to train the staff to be more professional to deal with guests and certainly the restaurant is not up to the expectations especially regarding the menu and the the food served maybe the investment should include a new restaurant much better than the current one.Guest review bySaleh AL KamliOman - 10.0
We had an excellent stay at the camp.
We had an excellent stay at the camp. It's a small and private camp, with a great view on the sand dunes. The tents are fully equipped and comfortable. All the people working at the camp were super friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was according to our expectations and beyond. We did a dune bashing activity, where we also watched the sunrise and took beautiful pictures. I also definitely recommend the camel ride to watch the sunrise! The dinner and breakfast was super delicious, and we enjoyed watching the stars around the campfire at night.Guest review byAnonymous
