The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was super comfortable and lots of hot water and pressure in the shower. The front desk staff assisted me with several small requests and were accommodating and very nice about helping me. I was in David to shop and lay over a few days before I returned to Costa Rica for my 180 day passport renewal. I will stay there again in roughly 6 months. Excellent value!

It's a unique location, and island full of life and beauty. The staff were all friendly and professional. Depending on the season, there might not be many people around. It is sort of intense, everywhere you look, there is something moving, insects, spiders, snakes, monkeys, birds, etc. It's a place of beauty, but it reminds us that we can't survive in the jungle.

Great vibe to the town. It is much more costly than I had expected as the other parts of Panama are much, much more affordable. Big Daddy's was a great place to eat and drink, There are many coffee shops but they don't open until 8 or 9 am? Everything you could want is in walking distance unless you are in the mountains. I was there for dental implants and Odonto Smile Clinic in Alto Boquete was excellent!!! Dr. Dagmar Rios was so accommodating and professional. Her and her staff really made my dentists in the USA look inadequate! The language was not a problem; especially with Dr. Dagmar.

The resort is spotless, and its location is ideal. The beach is beautiful, with white sand that goes on for miles. We thought the food was exceptional, and the staff were so friendly and hard-working. We had no interest in eating anywhere else. I hoped to attend yoga on the beach class, but unfortunately, it wasn't offered during our stay. For all we enjoyed, I felt the price was highly affordable.

We traveled in Jan therefore the weather was perfect. Nature is amazing and the temperature as well. The city of Volcan services the needs of the habitats. Streets are wide and new, clean, no traffic. Restaurants close at 7pm. Choices are v limited. Very. Thought Volcan is just an hour’s drive from Boquette, the layout was completely different. Again, the nature pays-off. And the drive to Davide is very comfortable and short.

This is a great place if you like hiking.
This is a great place if you like hiking. We hiked into the forest, across the mountain to Boquete, and just around the local area. The local busses are great, really frequent and easy to use. Next time I would take the bus down the road a bit to cut down the distance over to Boquete as that hike was a bit long for us. But overall, we loved this place.

Boca Chica is a quaint fishing village with a few hotels/resorts and restaurants. There are water taxis that will take you to one of the islands for $3 (2025 rate). There are also tour boats for hire that will take you out to see the humpback whales (in season), as well as fishing boats to take you out to fish. It's a very safe area, and most people speak a little English. In the fancier resorts, English is understood. Check out Bocas del Mar for a great meal and a beautiful place to stay. If you don't mind staying a few minutes away (10 or so), and like seclusion, check out El Regalo!
