Great location in downtown, 5 min walk to metro, easily connecting to airport, nice rooms with great skyline view, rooftop pool open 24h, free luggage storage, very nice stuff. I stayed 3 nights, when coming and leaving from other places in Central America. Storing my luggage for free for 8 days was a great service, all I had to do was to pay in advance the night at come back. The area is very nice, many restaurants, markets, stores, very safe at any hour. About one hour walk by the sea to Casco Viejo, on a beautiful promenade. The pool on top flor has shower cabins which are great if you have a late flight and wanna take a shower before leaving. Next time in Panama City I know where I'll stay: here.

The Panamanian culture and people are so so great.

The Panamanian culture and people are so so great. Stayed in the old quarter and not downtown and we definitely made the right choice. So many places to eat and hang out. Great rooftop scene. It’s HOT and humid (even more than expected) so be prepared to sweat. Do a walking or bicycle tour. Interesting history. Visited in the rainy season and it was consistently gorgeous in the morning, started raining around 2/3-6 and then stopped in time to go to dinner. I loved it. Can’t wait to go back and visit other parts of the country.

The new terminal "C" is spacious clean and definitely not crowded. TSA was efficient and well organized. We were able to get through that in record time with no delays. The food area is well laid out and stocked with a variety of restaurants and stalls. It even has a Gluten Free stand which I have never seen in an airport and truly a great service for those of us that are gluten free.

The island does have a lot of hills so if you plan on walking be in shape or you will be winded. I like exercise so for me it was great, not hard at all. Mar y oro did pick us up from the port with our luggage. You can also rent a golf cart right at the port where ferry lands, There was 3 small shops for buying things, limited supply and expensive (its an island) plan on bringing everything you need.

The location was great for us. The breakfast was fantastic. Love that it was All-Inclusive but unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of all the things they offered like the Rainforest tour and karaoke night. The rooms were clean and the size of the room was great for us. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay there again if I'm ever in the area again.

Taboga Island is great for a day excursion, if it is sunny, you can go to the beach and hang out. You can get a great pina colada at one of the local spots, or bring a cooler with you. there are quite a few eating places, but you'll have to pay to shower and go the the bathroom. Getting there is usually by the Taboga Ferry, which is a 30 minute ride and a lot of fun. there is only a main road that you can walk on to explore the area but they have golf carts that travel the same road as well. One important thing to note is to bring cash, because there is no ATM on the island.

If you go over carnival it is not peaceful and it's very loud, but we were there in the week and it was beautiful! They have live giards at the big 'pools' in the river which was great. The beer at Artemia was really refreshing and delicious. We had a meal at a local fonda that was delicious. There is a lot of hiking trails, that are well marked. I would not suggest going when it rains, since the roads are very bad and it will be slippery, I also suggest going with a car that is higher off the ground. We did not see any burds really besides ducks, it was eerily quiet during our stay.

For a relaxing getaway with stunning views, El Remanso is the perfect choice. Our stay was magical, with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and a serene atmosphere. (The photos do not do it enough justice). I visited to celebrate my birthday, and to my delight, the team prepared a special surprise for me! A heartfelt thank you to Hanik and Ehran, who were exceptional hosts. Their warmth and attentiveness made our experience unforgettable, especially with the upgrade to a spectacular room and great activity recommendations. The hotel is beautiful, located by what we believe is the most pristine beach on the island. Our spacious room was well-equipped, and waking up to the ocean view was a highlight. The shared kitchen is a nice touch for meal prep. I recommend bringing food for breakfasts and snacks. You might consider packing items to make sandwiches and purchasing the spectacular baguette from La Choza, which is just a short walk from the hotel. Their food is fantastic! That said, don’t miss La Choza, a delightful restaurant run by Jean-Baptiste and Eli, offering delicious local cuisine in a cozy, welcoming setting. I also recommend exploring the trail between the beach at Saboga Lodge and La Choza beach. The path, surrounded by rocks, nature, and the ocean, truly makes you feel like you’re in a scene from Star Wars. If you decide to walk to find the 500-year-old tree, be sure to bring mosquito repellent, as it can be quite helpful. Good luck finding it—we weren’t able to locate it ourselves! Without a doubt, El Remanso is a hidden gem. We’re already dreaming of our next visit to this slice of paradise!

We've now flown through Tocumen Airport a couple times on...

We've now flown through Tocumen Airport a couple times on Copa Airlines on our way from the U.S. to David (and on to Boquete and Volcán) and back. We are not fluent Spanish speakers, but most of the signs are in Spanish and English and many of the staff are bilingual, which greatly eased our figuring out where to go to catch our flight. Entry through Immigration and Customs went smoothly and our luggage has arrived undamaged each time (we did use Air Tags just in case). Returning home was equally smooth - baggage check was easy and Security moved everyone along at an agreeable pace. No surprises. There are plenty of shops and restaurants at the airport if you need to grab something to eat. One proviso: We flew Copa Airlines back to the U.S. and they required us to pass through a second Security check at the departure gate. I'm not entirely sure as to the rationale for this, but it went without a hiccup and we boarded and departed on time. So far, our experiences flying through Tocumen have been positive, unlike what we encountered back in the U.S. at Dulles, which I would absolutely recommend avoiding at all costs if possible due to poor and confusing signage and angry and surly TSA agents.

The island is small, and there's not much to do around here.

The island is small, and there's not much to do around here. No bars or places to hang out after sunset. Restaurants and supermarkets close early; by around 7:30 PM, everything was closed, so we couldn't find anywhere to have dinner. However, we ended up eating at Casa Angelina, and the food there was GREAT. The places here didn't really appeal to us based on their appearance; everything seems a bit neglected and abandoned. Despite that, the food is still excellent, although you wouldn't think so at first glance. On the other hand, the beaches were beautiful. I would recommend renting a golf cart to get around the island.
