location is v good, close to very lively central plazas, to the market and eateries; the neighborhood is v safe and everygthing is easily accessible by very reasonable priced motocars; beds are v comfortable and rooms are v good size; v clean; owner was v kind, helpful, and always available; we felt very good and had a memorable time, would love to go agai and we highly recommend this place.

    The friendly greeting by the guys at Reception every time we approached them. The wonderful cleaning lady who took care of our room. The location is great, the best in town with the main city Plaza immediately in front and restaurants overlooking the river front within a 4 minute walk. Keeping in mind the rest of town is grubby, sidewalks are mostly atrocious and ladies, if youre looking for shops, this is not the town for that. Walking into this hotel is like entering a tiny haven of civilization. The fairly large pool and tiny gym and spa area are also very clean and comfortable.

    Away from everything, on a reserve , great guide Cesar! We got to see wild life at its own habitat, trips at night were amazing! We got to swim where some pink dolphins (boto) was jump around. Felt very safe, slept very well, food was good. The staff were great and very helpful! The company let you keep your bags at their agency before flight some you get to see Iquitos for a few hours. Amazing trip, very memorable.

    - great place to learn about its past glory - freindly people but the local markets as unique as it is, it was quite dirty and disorderly, buit worth a look for understanding - a great springboard for exploring the Amazons. - make sure that you have an A/Ced room on any Amazon tour you sign up for.

    Iquitos is a very poor city that does not have much in terms of tourist sites other than being the gateway to the Amazon, which is amazing. We flew in late, left for the Amazon tour early the next day, and then spent 6 hours in Iquitos before heading to the airport. We walked around the plaza and main tourist area but that took an hour or so. To be honest, I don’t think I have witnessed greater poverty, especially by the docks where the boats leave to go on the tours.

    The hotel is located on the esplanade that forms a pedestrian walking street with many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge (really large), with high ceilings, air conditioning, microwave, fridge and useable bathroom. The breakfast is very nice with a choice of different food types.
