It was a very cozy and comfortable place. Although it’s a bit far from downtown but it’s very quiet and the price is very good. The staff there were very nice. We went to the beach 5 mins away. Kids were so happy to swim there and we found lots of urchins on the shore. But better not touch them. Breakfast was nice too.

I liked the ambiance when you get inside the resort. The room was exquisite and staff were very friendly and approachable. The pool is also nice and cozy. Though the location is a bit far from the main road, they were able to book vehicles for us for our next destination.

This is the only hotel in the Philippines with a bath tub on your very own terrace! Fantastic personell with communication and attention to every single detail. Very modern standards, especially for being in the Philippines. Top notch cleanliness and nice add ons with rentable motorbikes on the premise. The owners also run a dog and cat shelter and have rescued so many sweet animals and put them back in pristine condition. This is a nice add on to the stay. Super welcoming service and pick up and drop of at the airport at an extra cost, but well worth it. Super nice honey moon package at an additional cost, well worth every penny with red water and roses in the bath tub.

We loved our stay here! The room was gorgeous with the most amazing views from our room and from the pool. Facilities were clean, the resort dogs were friendly, food and drinks were good too. The staff were so helpful and lovely - They also made great recommendations of things to do (and made ethical suggestions). Thank you for having us Jaq, and Clarice! Beach is nice; the sand is super soft and water very clear; beach lounger often available with very short waiting time or no need to wait at all. SPA, diving center, restaurant, bar are all available for those don’t want to step out of the resort. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Hair dryer available and I like the shampoo/body wash. ~15mins away from Alona beach. Will visit again!

The resort caters to travelers' needs! Situated just 10 mins away from the beach, you can consider this place as a quiet haven because it's quite away from the road but has its own pool that you can use for whenever the Bohol heat is too much. Was able to work well too during my stay as I work remotely. The staff are soo kind and would really make sure you're taken care of. You can also request for your room to be cleaned and when they do, they clean it very well!

I had a wonderful experience here! The staff were very accommodating, and the location is super convenient—right along the road with a mini-mart just nearby. The property is nice, new and clean and looks exactly like the pictures. Room service was provided everyday including water. The host was courteous, responsive, and provided helpful information to do around the island. The location is perfect as it’s tucked away from the main road and it’s only a few minutes walk to the restaurants on the main road.

They took care of us from the moment we arrived until we left; always smiling, and super friendly team!! The food was Delicious, the dishes were very flavorful and fresh, with a variety of cuisines thus each day was a new dish and a new taste. The tour they offered is Amazing and covers most of the things to do in Bohol! The room we had was spacious with a view!! Honestly, the whole property is new and well located uphill thus it has a calm and breathtaking scenery. When we had any concerns we called or texted, and it would get fixed within a few. Definitely a hotel to come back to for vacation with friends, family or just couples! Thank you so much Marquis Resort Team for having us, and being awesome! looking forward to seeing you again.

The best part for me was the upstairs chill area , somewhere to escape if the sun gets too hot or the rain comes over, I read my book up there and was so chilled and comfortable, the owner kindly brought me a free coffee over too which was a lovely touch.

    I like the people of Panglao and the places. We feel at home away from real home.Feeling of confident walking in the roads and markets.Specially the beaches..My family love the Alona ambiance.And been to Moadto Strip which has a nice free beach.And for our transportation we always book for Romelle and Edzel recommended by Nilo the property manager.

    There is really not much to do in Tagbilaran, only a statue, two churches and a square. It can be seen in an hour (and a half). Clubs, bars and restaurants have moved from Tagbilaran to Panglao - because that is where the most tourists are. If you want raw real Filippino life and people looking at you in surprise because you are there, go to Tagbilaran City, but leave your valuables in the hotel.

    We had planned to do river trips but instead just did our own paddling on the river. The river isnt particularly special and it seems there are limitations to the trips (e.g. frequently you cant swim at the falls). It does have a strong current so be careful when in the water. The hotel provides a guide in case of difficulty. BTW: The Tarsier "sanctuary" was a massive disappointment. Just a photo op. Chocolate Hills platform gives a lovely view, but an hour is enough. We did these on the way to the hotel, so saved a day trip.

    The Dive Resort described in the advertisement did not exist...

    The Dive Resort described in the advertisement did not exist. There were no diving equipment nor could you rent at any location nearby. We were lied to and took daily trips to town. The SCUBA equipment never arrived. The barameter was steady the entire time we stayed. We finally cut our strangle hold the motel had on us as we spent almost $10,000.00 coming from Florida USA. I didn’t know it takes a day and a half to get to the closest sea port to spend 5 more hours plus taxi time to get to the Lahoy. I will visit the beautiful island but not with the same operator of a crappy motel on potentially beautiful ocean view. That amenity came from up above and was the only perk. Just beware of scammers with old pictures of their run down facility. Do your research on your own and demand new pictures. Look at the meta data on the photo. It cannot be edited. Sorry. I’m still annoyed we got financially abused and wasted a week. Sad part is we left early because all I have reviewed is true. The owner is not all there and can be read in her replies to what I wrote. I wish the place was like the old photos she provided. They were from her tenant whom leased the place. She thought she could end their lease reaping the benefits of what the tenant built. Just a scam based on the property of what it was and what it is not today. Cheers and be careful.

    Jagna is a small port city/town, much like many others around the Philippines. Paseo Del Mar Resort is very close to the Port and is a very welcoming 'basic' backpacker type resort. We will come again to stay should we come to Bohol. One interpretation of my previous review has been misunderstood as negative. Was everything perfect? Is life perfect? I rest my case. I restate we were very happy with our stay.

    Bohol is an incredibly beautiful destination, and I would love to come back and explore more of what it has to offer. It's not just the stunning beaches — the hills, mountains, and natural scenery are equally breathtaking. Unfortunately, our stay was quite short, and the inclement weather limited our plans even more. We didn’t get to fully experience everything, but what we saw left a lasting impression. We’re definitely planning to return — there's so much more to discover in this amazing place.

    there are many nice beaches with clean water for the kids to play in. lots of interesting places to visit on Bohol and its only a short drive to Alona beach where there are plenty of eateries, bars and live music, there is excellent diving trips for experienced divers, hire a motorcycle and get around and see plenty, all in all an Island that is well worth a visit

    Really recommend Bohol Farm!

    Really recommend Bohol Farm! Their ice cream is incredible, and the food is great too. We got a tour of the farm, which was super nice. Getting around is quite easy, there are three main road that go around the island, and there are tuktuks for hire everywhere. I rented a moped, which actually felt quite safe, as there were few big cars. Alona beach is definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend doing a countryside tour too, to see a lot of the sights of Bohol in one day.
