We originally booked 3 nights but extended to 4 because it was just the perfect place to adjust to the climate and recover. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly family-friendly. The pools were a big hit with the kids, and while we didn’t swim much at the beach, our toddler spent hours happily playing in the sand. That kind of distraction made everything easier for us as parents. The food was outstanding—we had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily at Allegro Restaurant and loved the variety and quality. But what really made this stay special was the staff. The resort’s core value, Amuma (a Bisaya word meaning to pamper or care), isn’t just a slogan—it’s something you feel in every interaction. Big thanks to Joyce and the welcoming team at the Allegro entrance, Jeff and Richell from the juice bar who took great care of us in the afternoons, and especially Carlos at the kinilaw buffet, who we saw more than once step through a potted plant (literally) to help guests at the nearby self-service station. That kind of extra effort and warmth was everywhere. If you’re arriving in Cebu with kids—or just need a peaceful, genuine place to land—this is it. House of Lechon is a must for all staying at the Quest. One of the best Lechon I've tried in my life. Housekeeping was excellent, cleaned our room the next day after we checked in. Room rate was reasonable. Always staffed 24 hrs by a security guard out the front, never felt unsafe for a moment. Pool was clean and had a bar in the pool to accommodate your thirst. Cebu has its beautiful and calm areas which is awesome, however due to our location it was always an hour or so to get to these places, so my advice to future travellers is to choose a hotel outside the city centre, maybe more South West or South East where the beautiful beaches and waterfalls are situated.... I had lived in Moalboal before. I was just back visiting a girlfriend. The Panagsama area, where the resort is located is great. Literally walked the entire area. Lots of different restaurants/bars. We got boat # 189 and there are 200 boats (walk ins) and there are like 100 numbers for online booking. 10 people per boat so image approx. 3000 on that day and they told us it was not so busy. Tourists pay $20.00 and locals$10.00. We rent a GoPro and the video files were not normal MP4 file, so it was a pain to find a way to convert them. The island being small is a bit crowded on the side near the pier and the bounty beach. I haven't explored the northern part of the island so this will make me go back and visit the island again in the future. More of a 'local character' than when I stayed in the IT Park area. I really did not enjoy IT Park because it was just a big mall area with businesses and restaurants and a lot of congestion and noise. The Pusok area was much quieter. More locals which I enjoy interacting with. Easier to get around. There is a mall area but it is not as big or nice as other malls in Cebu City. But I was able to find everything I needed. Some shops close a bit early though. When I return to Cebu City I will probably stay in this area again. I like how close it is to the airport because the ridiculous traffic in Cebu City concerns me when I need to get to the airport. I think the cost of lodging is more affordable in this area. Review for Malapascua Island: Perfect for diving (thresher sharks) and snorkeling, otherwise not much to do there. Recommendation - compare prices for fun dives at different dive shops, some are very pricy. The north beach was a disapointment - some smaller sections of the beach are cleaned, others very dirty and smelling like rotten animals.
