We came to Romblon because of its reputation as an excellent place for macro and super-macro diving. We chose the Sunset Cove Resort, and we were delighted by the professional dive center located at the resort. On top of that, their chef is a culinary genius, the swimming pool is lovely and cleaned daily, and the rooms are spacious with great design and are kept tidy and clean. This is a very small resort that really knows how to treat its guests - it’s very much a hidden gem!

Wonderful! We booked 1 night in this really cool beach bungalow and it was so good that we extended our stay for 3 days (and got a good discount). It was right on the beach and felt like we were on our very own desert island, waking up to the sound of the waves and taking a swim in the fantastically clear warm water before breakfast. We didn’t see any tourists at all on the beach, just some locals taking a walk and kids playing in the water, it was surreal after staying in Boracay with all the crowds and noise! The staff gave us snorkeling stuff for free and David the owner led us out to see the incredible variety of coral, which started just a short distance from the beach and though we saw many varieties of fish, it seems that there were many more before the pandemic, but the locals have decimated the stock as there was no work for them. But the starfish were prolific, we counted 10 different colors including some really bright blue ones, but be careful of the sea urchins, they’re only on the coral, so don’t swim over the coral at low tide. Ely took us for an island tour in this amazing 6 seater off road UTV, it could go anywhere and we took off road tracks to cliff jumps, deserted beaches and caves, this is a must, which you would never find if you hired motorcycles. Now the restaurant on this fantastic balcony (or you can eat at the beach bar). The food my god was soo good, Malou and the other staff were such good cooks, with both local and foreign dishes, don’t miss the yummy spicy spareribs, the stuffed baby squid, the curry, the adobo and of course the seafood; simply delicious! We wanted to stay longer and wished we had come here first and not bothered with Boracay, so sad to leave and will defiantly be back and skip the Boracay stay!

Annabel's resort is a hidden gem in the wilderness of Ferrol Province. More valuable then jade, to the weary traveler searching for respite during a long journey. I cannot put into words how lucky by wife and I were to have had the good fortune of staying at Annabel's resort. The owners are totally hands on in every aspect of their resort. From greeting guests to the food purchases and preparations, overseeing the facilities, and guests they are always making sure everything is absolutely perfect 👌. I will be honest. I had the best cheese burger in my life there. I'm from USA. We know our burgers!! 😆 When I inquired about his source of meat. He replied he imports from Brazil and grinds the meat himself. Anyone who spends that much time, money and effort of a burger. Tells you you're dealing with a professional from the food and service industry. That won't take shortcuts to safe on costs. They even drove us to the pier so we could catch our ferry on time. How many resort owners do that? I ask you? Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed. The food in outstanding as well as the staff. The room was 100% clean as was the linens and towels. Annabel's a 5 Star resort ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ that's affordable to anyone!! Thank you Annabel's!! James and Cherry Bruce!!

Seriously cannot recommend this place enough!! Not only is the area not crowded with travelers, the ownership here is amazing! It’s budget room so don’t expect luxury, but for budget rooms it is everything you could need and more. Very comfortable bed, very nice staff, Jai the owner was helpful with everything. Did I mention there’s hardly anybody here? It’s peak season and you’ll have the beach to yourself or a few others— amazing stay and amazing island!

Complete amenities! You can really stay here at your most convenience! You can cook, wash your clothes, etc. and at a great value! We were at the third floor and the mountain view is amazing! The bed too is sooo confortable we really loved it! We would definitely stay again. The owner is also very helpful with my inquiries.

Chef David served a delightfully varied menu everyday. Every meal was delicious. The staff was so pleasant and welcoming. Patrick, Philipp, Kati, Roseby, and all the diving crew led us to the best sites and gave us the opportunity to photograph all the ocean critters for which Romblon is famous

    Andreas and Olya, the managers, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable throughout my stay. They arranged transport for me to attend my son's wedding and picked me up at the end. Olya is a great snorkeller and knows the best spots to do this. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The facilities met all my needs along with the amazing views from the hotel. They have a swimming pool, gym and sauna and jacuzzi on the top floor with amazing views all around. It was very peaceful and I would highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone. I know they would love it. The rooms are spacious and clean and many towels are provided. The menu choice is extensive and enjoyable too.

    Felt very authentic and not over touristed.

    Felt very authentic and not over touristed. Had a great day renting / riding a motorbike around the island. Not nearly all the hectic traffic you see in some of the other spots around. Could have spent at least another day or 2 or 3 in Romblon city itself and finished the climb to the high spot on the island as well as bodied a few more beaches and done more snorkeling.
