Although it's "only" a two-star hotel in a small village, the location is perfect, there is much to see around, and the hotel staff is so warm and welcoming! We enjoyed our stay, it was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious 😋 do not sleep on the lemon pie! They will even pack the leftovers for you 😉 there is a small cafe nearby to get a drink and enjoy the serenity at the table in front of the hotel. Definitely recommend! Thanks again to the hotel staff for the wonderful stay, we are definitely coming back!

The staff were incredibly nice, from the reception subchef girl who had the glasses, who always had information and a helpful attitude for anything we asked, to the lady replenishing the breakfast buffet. This hotel was recommended to us by Portuguese friends who were delighted. At first it seemed like an ordinary hotel. But then we were able to appreciate all the advantages in detail, for example, the interior design and its convenience. The room was very large and comfortable. Everything is new. Carefully thought-out lighting and furniture. A comfortable bed, shower, clothes hanger and everything else! A wonderful view of the pool from a comfortable balcony. The hotel has many different room categories and buildings. If this is important to you, find out about the room and the view from the window in advance. There are several swimming pools, including a fun pool with music and a DJ, aqua aerobics and a bar where you can sit while in the water. Payment for food and drinks will be written on the card from the room. You can pay upon check-out. There is also a quiet pool and children's pools with slides. Pools, both outdoor and indoor. Many comfortable sun loungers. Some of them are in the water. There are beautiful sun umbrellas. Comfortable and beautiful beach towels. There are many guests, but there is enough space for everyone, the guests do not interfere with each other, but on the contrary, create a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel restaurant must be booked in advance, they cook delicious food there, and the restaurant is popular. We booked the restaurant immediately after booking a room at the hotel in messages on booking.com and did not regret it. But if there are no seats in the restaurant, then the bar in the lobby is suitable for a snack. There is also room service. There are several underground garages. The garage was convenient and new. Parking for guests is free. After dinner, I recommend walking around the area around the pools and taking photos. The photos turn out very beautiful due to the beautiful sky and the available lighting and the well-equipped territory.

    so glad we decided to stay in this hotel! the staff were all so kind and welcoming. we were visiting during the quiet season i think, because there were hardly any other tourists at our hotel, which i personally enjoyed! the room was large with amazing views of the city. check in process was easy, breakfast was good, and the location overlooks the town on the top of the hill and is a 1-2 minute drive down the hill, so very convenient!

    Lousã is a wonderful place for nature lovers. It has great trails for various the experienced as well as the less experienced hiker. Lots of streams and beautiful spots as well as breathtaking views to take in. The town itself is very quiet. It has no life but if its nature you’re looking for, it’s definitely the right place.

    The town has a history of an artist's retreat, with a museum and Malhoa, the most famous artist's, residence. It has historic medieval buildings in a cobblestreet old town center. There is a large Saturday market with a lot of variety. The hilly countryside is gorgeous and features Sao Simao River Beach for swimming and hiking. It is easy to spend a week or more in the area.

    Well we enjoyed Vila do Rei because it was calm, small pace, friendly people and great for walks in nature. I recomend the Centro Geodesico and the river beach of Penedo Furado are a must visit. The views are beautiful and give you a glimpse of nature’s colors at it’s finest.
