I was very happy with my stay there. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. Even though most of the staff did not speak English and I did not speak my Portuguese, we still communicated well with each other. I so appreciated the owner's consideration for my comfort and his staff seems to have the same sentiment. The location is away from the noises of the city which adds to the therapeutic feeling while you're there. You can easily drive to Coimbra about 20 minutes away and enjoy the quiet roads along the way. The restaurant is classy and has a big menu. I ordered the sliced cod which ended up being too salty and fishy-tasting. I don't know if it is the recipe or if the recipe needs to be adjusted. The service was excellent and their wine selection is impressive.

A pleasant surprise: they had a garage, even had elevator from the garage in the basement to the 2nd floor! Heated outdoors pool(!) in a garden setting very well maintained. Nice bfast. Everything worked fine in the room and private bathroom.

The staff were incredibly nice, from the reception subchef girl who had the glasses, who always had information and a helpful attitude for anything we asked, to the lady replenishing the breakfast buffet. Just a simple genuinely nice and attentive attitude throughout all the staff we encountered at this hotel!

    This hotel was recommended to us by Portuguese friends who were delighted. At first it seemed like an ordinary hotel. But then we were able to appreciate all the advantages in detail, for example, the interior design and its convenience. The room was very large and comfortable. Everything is new. Carefully thought-out lighting and furniture. A comfortable bed, shower, clothes hanger and everything else! A wonderful view of the pool from a comfortable balcony. The hotel has many different room categories and buildings. If this is important to you, find out about the room and the view from the window in advance. There are several swimming pools, including a fun pool with music and a DJ, aqua aerobics and a bar where you can sit while in the water. Payment for food and drinks will be written on the card from the room. You can pay upon check-out. There is also a quiet pool and children's pools with slides. Pools, both outdoor and indoor. Many comfortable sun loungers. Some of them are in the water. There are beautiful sun umbrellas. Comfortable and beautiful beach towels. There are many guests, but there is enough space for everyone, the guests do not interfere with each other, but on the contrary, create a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel restaurant must be booked in advance, they cook delicious food there, and the restaurant is popular. We booked the restaurant immediately after booking a room at the hotel in messages on booking.com and did not regret it. But if there are no seats in the restaurant, then the bar in the lobby is suitable for a snack. There is also room service. There are several underground garages. The garage was convenient and new. Parking for guests is free. After dinner, I recommend walking around the area around the pools and taking photos. The photos turn out very beautiful due to the beautiful sky and the available lighting and the well-equipped territory.

    We were greeted by Bruno who went out of his way to make sure our check in process was as good as it can be, and in general every staff member we encountered was nice. The place is absolutely gorgeous, from the dome itself inside and out and to the other facilities like the dining room which served wonderful food both for breakfast and dinner. The place has a lovely pool in which we swam twice in our one night stay - worth it even though the water is far from warm :) Definitely recommend

    We didn't expect the hotel to be part of a village, so when we arrived late in the evening it was an odd sight, but when we woke up the next morning it was a very welcoming atmosphere. So the location is breathtaking, adding the facilities, a picturesque house and a tasteful breakfast made it complete for us as a family, hence a perfect score in this review.     Wow!, we were surprised as the place is located in the village area, it was quite a big and nice room (2 floors). The design is made with the little things in mind. The area around is wide and with many types of trees and many plants and gorgeous blooms. Sorry I didn't know in advance otherwise I would have planned two more days of rest instead. Not far from a small town where you can eat or buy self-prepared food.

    Lousã is a wonderful place for nature lovers. It has great trails for various the experienced as well as the less experienced hiker. Lots of streams and beautiful spots as well as breathtaking views to take in. The town itself is very quiet. It has no life but if its nature you’re looking for, it’s definitely the right place.

    The town has a history of an artist's retreat, with a museum and Malhoa, the most famous artist's, residence. It has historic medieval buildings in a cobblestreet old town center. There is a large Saturday market with a lot of variety. The hilly countryside is gorgeous and features Sao Simao River Beach for swimming and hiking. It is easy to spend a week or more in the area.

    Well we enjoyed Vila do Rei because it was calm, small pace, friendly people and great for walks in nature. I recomend the Centro Geodesico and the river beach of Penedo Furado are a must visit. The views are beautiful and give you a glimpse of nature’s colors at it’s finest.

    I did not have a chance to see much in Castelo Branco thanks to the heatwave (above 40 degrees celcius), but from tourist guides and from what I heard it is worth visiting when the weather is a lot cooler in the future.
