- From $165.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 637 reviewsIt was an excellent discovery and an experience that we will not forget. The starting highlight is Silvia, who gave us a very friendly welcoming and helped us with delight with our wishes. We had a wonderful sleep with no noises and excellent beds, including an extra proper bed, replacing a sofa bed. The space with the pool and the jacuzzi just made our experience unforgettable, with breathtaking views over the river and all the nature around. Pictures are very good but cannot show the sounds and smell of the little paradise there. It has a good big cooling fridge. Soap, shampoo and gel from Rituals. We discovered that some improvements in the house have been made which make some comments in Booking invalid. This shows to me the high focus on the customer and their willingness to improve. For instance, our house 1) had all the windows (6 windows) with inner wooden shutters that allow full dark, 2)the shower had a glass instead of a curtain, 3)the sofa bed was replaced by a proper wonderful bed. Breakfast is wonderful highlighting award-winning cheese, delicious fresh cheese, dried jam, freshly made scramble eggs at a very calm place. The view from hammock at the courtyard towards the orange field and the forest is amazing.Guest review byNuriaSwitzerland
- From $196.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 481 reviewsBeautiful, calm surroundings, and spacious, well-equipped rooms offered the best setting for a long weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The view from our room was directly over the lake, providing the perfect backdrop to wake up to. The hotel has a restaurant that offers great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is short, focusing on local specialities, served in the most romantic garden. We went canoeing on the lake, which was a great experience, as there’s only nature around with no human intervention.Guest review byMaximeBulgaria

Evora has plenty of history both culturally and gastronomically. Wonderful stuff. The inner city is small and very accessible by foot. I do not recommend driving within the walls. We were lucky to access a location to stay that was very close to public parking just outside the walls. Find locations to eat in side streets, they’re much more intimate and authentic. We settled on Baiuca, husband and wife that served and cooked.Guest review byChristopher - 10.0

Great little town that provides good access up and down the west coast of Portugal. The beach nearby or on the other side of the river is excellent for a relaxed day and the town itself has a good number of restaurants/cafes etc. You can: - spend time at the beach - explore the coast (by car or walking) - paddleboard, kayak etc along the river - wander the town stopping at cafes/gelaterias/restaurants - all of the aboveGuest review bySapanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The place is authentic and the castle perhaps the best in Portugal, not too big or overwhelming. Then there are the historic walls, a history lovers paradise. And don't forget the food, first rate. This is the "real" untouched Portugal.Guest review byIanCanada - 10.0

Sines is a great starting spot to explore both the super-long pretty much unbroken beach to the north that goes all the way to Troia, and the small pictoresque "cove" beaches to the south of Sines. The town is a bit rugged, and definitely not a fancy place, but so much more authentic for it. I guess it's pretty far down the perfect-spot tourist ladder and that's frankly absolutely great.Guest review byMartinCzech Republic - 10.0

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Beware the Mercado in the town was closed at 3.30 so we purchased sardines, cheese & wine fir our dinner at the apartment as it us 2.5km out of townGuest review byKerrie - 6.0
It was low season and there was not much going on.
It was low season and there was not much going on. It appears that apart from the beach and one golf club there is not so much to be done in Troia. There were a few restaurants but not that many. Supermarket in the village was extremely, expensiveGuest review byIrmgardPortugal - 8.0
