The food and the people are amazing! The views are stunning. The beach is very very long and there's lots of activities to do. As a family we ate out every afternoon and evening, and we visited the local shops for breakfast, snack and accompaniment items to eat in our Villa. We walked everywhere, but there were local transport options available too, specifically the land train. The roads are steep in parts, and will get your heart pumping, but there's well thought out alternative routes you can use with steps or other cut throughs to get you from A to B in an efficient manner! It is quiet and picturesque. The beach surprised us as it was very good, empty and big and clean. Good variety of places to eat and drink. Largos is a beautiful town with a vibe, there are lots of restaurants and bars in the central part of the city. Beaches are great and all walking distance. Amazing beach’s avoid town center even if close to beautiful beaches that are stunning memories of true Algarve but the city itself is very poor , ugly and just a nonsense buildings old to new mixed with no likely or history and cultural care. Great place plenty of things to do around the area ,5 golf courses for those who wish to play. Sailing trips are plentiful with many water sports near bye, crazy golf and a great water park. Great beach where you can rent umbrellas and sun lounges with option of half or full day at 25 euros a day for an umbrella with 2 loungers 15 euros half a day. Also plenty of of beach bars, personally favourite was Marisa as a little quieter. Best restaurants in my opinion Steaks and grilles Haven, Chinese Tai Tai, Indian Ghandi, Italian Capriccio, The small train is great for getting around and very cheap. Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. Amazing place lots of restaurants and bars but it is all spaced out if you have good legs this is no problem. Of course you can hire a car and drive out at night but if you want to drink you need to walk as we didn't see 1 taxi on our 9 night stay. Find accommodation near to Mareta beach as that's about central. Very young area lots of fit surfing people day and night which is great. There are 3 beaches within walking distance Tonel is the one for surfing if you can do!! Mareta beach is the nicest of the 3. There are many more you can drive to. The fort is interesting.
