The breakfast Staff are so thoughtful letting us know when the freshly baked croissants were available. This has been an extraordinary stay going very well beyond our expectations. - From $192.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 196 reviewsWe had an amazing time. Monica made our stay so special. She made us dinner reservations, a picnic to take on our hike and was so welcoming. Homemade breakfast was a highlight as were the beautiful views. Highly recommend! Accommodation was large, clean and had everything we needed. Family of 5 with little kids-this was their favorite stop on our Portuguese holiday. The hike to the river, the donkey, the tree swing, the pool.Guest review byLaurenUnited States

Great little town that provides good access up and down the west coast of Portugal. The beach nearby or on the other side of the river is excellent for a relaxed day and the town itself has a good number of restaurants/cafes etc. You can: - spend time at the beach - explore the coast (by car or walking) - paddleboard, kayak etc along the river - wander the town stopping at cafes/gelaterias/restaurants - all of the aboveGuest review bySapanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sines is a great starting spot to explore both the super-long pretty much unbroken beach to the north that goes all the way to Troia, and the small pictoresque "cove" beaches to the south of Sines. The town is a bit rugged, and definitely not a fancy place, but so much more authentic for it. I guess it's pretty far down the perfect-spot tourist ladder and that's frankly absolutely great.Guest review byMartinCzech Republic - 10.0

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Beware the Mercado in the town was closed at 3.30 so we purchased sardines, cheese & wine fir our dinner at the apartment as it us 2.5km out of townGuest review byKerrie - 6.0
It was low season and there was not much going on.
It was low season and there was not much going on. It appears that apart from the beach and one golf club there is not so much to be done in Troia. There were a few restaurants but not that many. Supermarket in the village was extremely, expensiveGuest review byIrmgardPortugal - 8.0

Had two nights here. Quiet village, the beach and beach bar made it worth staying the extra night. The hostel is in a side street very quiet two minute walk to a cafe/grocery store. Five minute walk to the beach.Guest review byLloydAustralia - 2.0

The apartment was not in Comporta which was about 15 mins drive away. I would not recommend visiting in March as there was very little to do nearby. It is probably a lovely place to stay in the Summer monthsGuest review byJacquelineUnited Kingdom - 8.0

This is a small town, where there is not much to do in the town itself. We stopped there because it is part of our Vicentina Walk trip. We enjoyed the nature and the woods around the town while hiking up to the hills. It was worth mentioned that the little cafe at the entrance of the local market hall serves good breakfast and sandwiches. I like their service and outdoor area too! I also liked the black pork of Alentejo, very tasty.Guest review bywwgodd8888United Kingdom - 4.0

I don’t expect all hotels to be accessible for the elderly or disabled but I do believe booking.com should clearly indicate when a facility is NOT suitable for us. The photos and description of Casa da Umbria were accurate but didn’t tell the whole truth. I can normally make it up the 13-15 stairs to reach a first floor walk-up especially if there’s a good handrail. I didn’t expect to have to climb steep cobblestone walkways followed by 34 steps without a handrail ending in a death-defying 90 degree spiral-type turn to get to the front door. Then there were all the other defects noted in my review. The hostess prepared a wonderful breakfast and helped us schedule a taxi and bus to our next destination but she became very defensive when I mentioned the stairs so I shut up and didn’t even try to suggest anything else. I can’t say anything for or against Odemira in general because I was essentially trapped in our room until we left.Guest review byMargaretPortugal - 10.0
