Very clean and nice attentive staff that makes you feel comfortable. The hosts are always around and go all the way to make you feel good and offer you the best experience. I even had a problem with my car and the host found me a mechanic and helped me solve that issue as soon as possible. You also have everything in one place: a playground for my girls, a nice heated pool with everything u need and a pool bar and let's not forget the restaurant with fresh traditional food and decent prices. When you also take into account the beautiful nature arround and everything u can visit in the area this makes up for a very pleasurable experience .Guest review byAdrianRomania

It is in the quiet part of the village, the garden is nice and there is enough space to park. It has a big terrace on the first floor, large enough to make a party, and there is also a place to sit in the garden. Hot water, toiletries, well equipped kitchen... The owners are wonderful people, they treated us with coffee, grapes, rakija, snacks. I would recommend this place to people who come to climb the via ferrata routes, it is very near the White Wolf club and the climbing area. It is also good for groups, beacause they have enough rooms (as I saw around 12 people can stay). All in all, my warmest 10!Guest review bySašaSerbia

And starting with the environment outdoors, where you can appreciate all that nature and quietness, you get surprised how cozy and nice this house is. Baia de Fier is beautiful, and staying at Casa De Sub Piatra was an excellent choice, for all you can experience, in comfort, meals(you have all you need, if you like to cook), and interactions, for people who like this kind of escape :)) The sense of open space and wideness, in connection with the interiors, to the outdoors, is simply amazing. The location is great, right at the entrance to the cave. Also, a lot of via ferrata tracks are starting behind the villa. Big parking in front of the property. Hi. I couldn't say if Baia de Fier is the best for shopping or food as it's a secluded mountain village. The only bonus I found is it's close to the southern starting point of Transalpina (Novaci) and the accommodation was fairly affordable.Guest review byTavi_MaierUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Wonderful location, Polovragi cave and Polovragi monastery...
Wonderful location, Polovragi cave and Polovragi monastery are two objectives you need to visit if you travel in Romania. Acess road very good. For eating and over night stay I recommend Castania guest house, very close to Polovragi monastery.Guest review bymihaelaRomania
