The pension is brand new, very clean, on top of a hill with a direct view to the Turda Gorge. There is a metropolitan bus, M71, twice a day from Cluj-Napoca, and the price of a ticket is the equivalent of 3 euros. The rooms are large, the beds comfy, there are enough toiletries and towels. It is a very good starting point if one wants to explore Turda Gorge.
The people are amazing, because it was very hot they took us by car to the entrance of the gorge, and came after us when we finished our hiking. We ordered breakfast in the morning and what we received was beyond expectations: fresh local food, very tasty and abundand. Actually, it was enough for the entire day!

The host was welcoming and very kind. We had everything we need for the night we stayed there.
The room was great (no.2), very clean and tidy. Enough space for four people. Since it has a kitchen, we could make coffee, a lifesaver the morning after Untold.
Also, we had the chance to interact with the host's mother in the morning of our departure. She's an amazing woman, very talkative and a great storyteller.

I liked the superbity of the landscaoe, the rooms were incredibile big, very very clean and with good taste furniture. I enjoyed a lot the kindness of the host, the very good food and i felt like we were the most important guests for them 🙂. Lovely.
The place of the pension. Nice view, close, so to say to the trail head.

There is not much to do in Cheia, but it is a good...
There is not much to do in Cheia, but it is a good connection point to other points of interest - Cheile Turzii and the other mountain trails in the area, Ciucaș Waterfall. It's a simple village, the residents have farm animals and grow vegetables and fruits in their yards, so it's the perfect place to escape the city noise and immerse yourself in nature.
