If you take the train to the Valea Drăganului or Poieni train/bus stop, you can walk to the village center in a few kilometers. Cluj is somewhere I have wanted to visit for a few years now and it didn't disappoint. It is easy to explore on foot. It is friendly, clean, and has plenty to do. There are so many great cafes, bars, and restaurants. We did not have a bad experience at any, and we very much enjoyed the food and nightlife. Great location with lake views. Amazing potential for the area. No easy access to the take, many private villas, some quite opulent and not fitting the area style / not build using the traditional style, are blocking lake access in most places, many private roads, big dogs roaming around. No hiking or biking trails, no kayaking service. A crumbling resort from the 90s waiting for a buyer... A wonderful nature with a lot of wasted potential, typical post-Communist Romania situation.
