Highlights: Stunning Nature: The Al Habala Village, with its hanging houses built into cliffs, was breathtaking. The views from Rijal Almaa, a historic stone village, were equally mesmerizing. The misty landscapes of Asir National Park felt like a different world compared to the typical desert imagery of Saudi Arabia. Cultural Immersion: The Tuesday Market (Souq Al-Thulatha) was a delight, filled with local crafts, spices, and friendly vendors. I also enjoyed the Asir Regional Museum, which gave great insight into the region’s heritage. Activities: Cable car rides at Green Mountain offered panoramic views, and hiking trails in the mountains were perfect for adventure lovers. The local food, like Areeka and Mandi, was delicious and affordable. Tips for Travelers: Visit in summer for cooler weather (around 20-25°C), a rarity in Saudi Arabia. Dress modestly to respect local customs, and carry a jacket as evenings get chilly. Rent a car for flexibility, as some attractions like Al Soudah are a bit remote. Al Namas is a small city with nice views. But spending a whole day or night is not recommended. It's a very small city with just couple of spots for mountain view. Also in day time sunlight is very harsh. It's better for just 2 or 3 hours stop to enjoy the natural views but not recommended for full day stay.
