Our hosts Charlotte and Lars were the perfect guides in helping us make the most of our days. Breakfasts and dinners were both beautifully prepared and delicious. Arrived during medieval week, where the locals from baby's, to teens, to adult and the old, all get dressed in the local "traditional" costumes of an era long gone.
Visby is one of the Hansa towns, so has great history of for the area and has kept its medieval look and feel with narrow streets (v.limited cars thank heavens), cafes by babbling streams, great restaurants with amzing staff who all spoke English - phew!
If you want to kick-off your corporate shoes, jacket and laptop, head to Gotlands capital and use it as a base to see the rest of this amazing Swedish Island.
