Very comfy place, das away from the lights and other cities, good to take some days off, view the northern lights do a dog sled tour or ride with a snowmobile. The owners are very friendly and helpful! Thanks again, we had a great stay!

We’re huge fans of this hotel. Over the past year, we’ve stayed three times and have experienced every type of room they offer. For adventure lovers, it’s simply fantastic. This time, we came especially for river rafting and gravel biking to enjoy Kiruna’s summer. Compared to the winter season, the atmosphere was much quieter, with a completely different vibe. It almost feels like you have the entire hotel to yourself—which is incredible. When it comes to the rooms, if you’re mainly there for the tours, any option will do. But if you’ve never stayed in an ice room, it’s an absolute must. Since we had already tried both the Deluxe and Art Suites before, this time we opted for a warm room(kamoos hotel room) , which worked perfectly. Before we stayed in a kamoos deluxe warm room and comparing to that, only significant difference was the comfiness of the bed. Pillows and mattress could be better. Also there was no mini fridge. Again, since we were out all day long for tours, -except the mattress- those didnt matter to us. Breakfast, as always, was fantastic. They’ve even added vegan bread—kudos to the chef, it was excellent. The dinner menu was the same as in winter: pricey, but absolutely delicious. Staff is amazing as always, we seen some familiar faces from our previous stays. Mostly they are working seasonal i guess but all of them are sharing the same passion. Overall, it’s a wonderful place both in winter and summer, but in my opinion, the real highlight is the tours. They are the perfect way to discover the North, immerse yourself in the culture, and experience the wilderness. So far, every guide we’ve had has been outstanding. I believe if we join few more tours, they will convince us to move to Kiruna :)

We were lucky enough to get a complementary upgrade to a mini suit, so the room was huge and we definitely enjoyed it. The stuff was very polite and friendly. Relax was also nice and clean.. The location was also very central so we could walk around the city center.

The location is perfect, 13 min away from the airport by bus. The staff is lovely, there is always tea, coffee and fruits available at the reception, very good to warm yourself after coming from the snow, the breakfast is exceptional, so many options, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious for a fair price, the view from the restaurant is very nice, the lobby is so stylish, with the big lamps, and the spa is a must. I had a very enjoyable time.

A Perfect Stay! Our stay at Camp Ripan was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We spent five magical nights here, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from inside our room almost every single night! It was an unforgettable experience. The facilities are top-notch, offering everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing food. The breakfast is of such high quality—fresh, delicious, and with so many great options. Hotel staff was really good, friendly and welcoming. There was a grocery store nearby. Pizza at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was exceptional. Luggage storage was provided. Also sleds for kids. Facilities like swimming pool, sauna, library and gym were excellent. Saw northern lights and nacreous clouds at the hotel.

    Beautiful place and very price worthy!! The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide spread of most things, and it was open for a long time. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Our room had a mini fridge with a freezer shelf, which was helpful. I liked most things, considering what I paid for the room and would definitely return someday.

    Clean and comfortable place.

    Clean and comfortable place. Visited "Old town" now for first time and it was nice. Cafeterias were not open, but nice old houses and beautiful church really worth visiting. In Luleå shops are closing very early on Saturday and are closed on Sunday, it would be nice to do shopping longer. On Saturdays difficult to get table reservations to some restaurants, you might wan't to plan your dinner in advance and do booking before trip.

    I have been here eleven times, which must show that I like it very much. I have been here summer and winter as well. I mostly hike to Lapporten and Trollsjoen. On the other hand, I am not a fan of Kungsleden, which for me is a motorway for pedestrians.

    We stayed overnight, on our way back to Finland from Norway. This was a main city on the highway. You can easily find anything you need and road connections are also good. In Sweden, to my surprise, staying in remote locations can be tricky sometimes.

    The lakeside location was idyllic We travelled to the accommodation on a short snowmobile ride through the forest. The northern lights were visible for two nights of our short stay. Jokkmokk is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lakes, rolling hills, forest. You sometimes pass reindeer on the roads. I was there to participate in a long ski race and everyone I met in Jokkmokk was keen to help.

    Gallivare is a mining town and in itself not particularly interesting for holiday takers but it provides good transport options to several of the national parks in the region. It is possible to make some nice walks in the immediate vicinity of the town but these alone are not a reason to travel there.

    Beautiful village, supermarket and post office close to the Icehotel. The oldest church in Sweden is located there. The torne river/ lake is stunning. The old homestead is a great restaurant located about 1km from the Icehotel. Food is delicious. Local people are very friendly and helpful.

    Kiruna is a beautiful place with extraordinary winterscapes during the day and even more so on a moonlight night.. The cherry in the top was the extraordinary experience of being blessed by aurora corona and aurora borealis sighting every night we were there .. More over the museum explaining sami culture and giving us sn opportunity to be amongst reindeer was so soulful.. the extraordinary sculptures of ice and snow at the ice hotel , their classic warming drink in ice glasses was something else .. needless to say , it is a ‘must experience ‘ place.

    It was cold around Christmas time, it’s a small city with everything you need but nothing more than that. I waited for the Aurora borealis but barely saw them these depends on the weather conditions I did expected the -25 and am happy that it didn’t got any colder than that

    Abisko e a beautiful place to watch the Northern Lights! It's a fantastic place to get some fresh breeze and enjoy the nature. The STF National Park is also a place to add in your list to visit. Safe to solo travelers. Very close to good spots and another countries.
