I liked the areas around Santa Ana a bit more than San Salvador. Santa Ana seemed a little more homey or fun. The cathedral is nice. The place is safe. Nice views. There's a lot of souvenir shops but tons of the items are hand crafted and a bit fragile and painted. There is one area that harbours like a looot of souvenir shops all together somewhere in the north centre of the town.Guest review byWipezUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Definitely the most beautiful sunset views of Izalco volcano and the beach at the same time just step away from your room, you can also appreciate orchids naturally attached to the trees and a variety of flowers all around, the restaurant is excellent and service too. Employees are very friendly, attentive and helpful. Definitely a must visit place.Guest review byJuanUnited States - 10.0

I love the people always willing yo help, Salvadorians are nice, the food is amazing I highly recommend the sea food from Caliches and Ola Betos LA Libertad. If you go to El Salvador visit the beach they're nice and specially Sta Ana, the church, the teather, and the Volcan of Sta Ana is a must.Guest review byJaime MenenUnited States - 10.0
This place is a boutique mountain paradise.
This place is a boutique mountain paradise. At 2,000 meters ASL it’s surrounded by a national forest reserve and has espectacular views. The food was really good and the service excellent. Staff was always willing to help and go the extra mile. The road to the mountain is very good and you also get great views on your way up. There are guided trails of different difficulty and you can even climb both the Izalco volcano and the Santa Ana volcano. They’re both more demanding adventures. Great coffee and food. There are many activities available near by such as nature tours walking and ATV. You get room service whenever you want during restaurant operation hours (7:30 am-8:30pm). We had a great time, fine place for relaxing and getting close to nature. Will definitely visit again and are interested in the other Casa1800 venues.Guest review byJose EduardoEl Salvador - 10.0

I only had a 24 hour stay and decided to arrange a history / walking tour, which I arranged through Guruwalk. My guide was Fatima. It was the best way to learn more about this really busy city, which can be a little intimidating when you first arrive. There is a big security presence (police and army), so it felt safe. It’s a good base for the Santa Ana Volcano.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 2.0

If you are expecting to go there for the view, forget about it! You will be in the middle of the fog/ clouds the entire day! If you are lucky you will see a piece of the volcano for five minutes! That’s it!!!!Guest review byIta TravellerUnited Arab Emirates
