The place, the owner, the staff, the food, they all exceeded our expectations. The small boutique resort only has 4 rooms and was open since a few weeks, there was a very relaxing atmosphere. Clean and comfortable room, lots of space. If you're visiting this part of the island I'd definately stay at this place!

    The room was spacious, clean and featured an excellent bath and beautiful bathroom. The pool is clean and the sun loungers are plenty and comfortable. But what stood out most was the wonderful staff. We both have celiac disease and require some extra care, especially at breakfast or other buffets like during a special night to celebrate Loy Krathong. We could ask questions about the food and when there was little on offer that we could eat at breakfast they made us delicious fresh food. This made our stay much more relaxing and we are really thankful :-) Other staff are also great, like the cleaning lady who's smile seemed to get bigger each time we saw her.

    Honestly! This was the best Beach Resort we ever stayed in. Everything was just a dream. The rooms, breakfast, pools etc. The staff is outstanding. Always helpful with a smile in their faces. Everyone is trying to make your stay unforgettable!!! We stayed for 7 nights and we never wanted to leave thus wonderful charming place. We had a little trouble with our room and they took care of it immediately and placed us in another room. We will be back !! Thank you so much Sylvan Resort !!

    The resort is right at the beach, with a nice pool next to the beach. The cabins/bungalows are clean and fairly spacious. He restaurant is great, the western dishes seem good, (haven’t tried) and the Thai dishes are great. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Although this is a resort, you have a nice mix of people, so not the stiff resort experience. Highly recommendable!

    Spacious clean room with a good shower and nicely decorated bathroom. Nice clean beach. The food was delicious and staff wonderful. They made extra effort to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Apart from that plenty of choice of nice food. don't be discouraged by reviews saying breakfast is limited, some people just go on holiday expecting things to be exactly like back home.

    We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

    A wonderful stretch of beach, one of the nicest on Koh Chang to be fair. Nice and clean, quiet and peaceful. I stayed a 5 min bike ride away at the reggae place. I ate at the wonderful little shack just on the bend as you reach the beach, a mother and daughter making great som tam, Laab, Nam Tok, iced coffee etc

    I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

    Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday.

    Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! Some wonderful seafood buffets to uncover and a visit to one of the elephant camps will satisfy your urge to explore.
