- From $158.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 839 reviewsI think we should put the staff's attentiveness and care first. Everyone was always incredibly helpful and attentive during our whole stay, and tried their best to make our stay something to remember. Everything worked perfectly in this hotel. The room (we paid for a separated bungalow) was quiet and isolated, which is what we were looking for. The room was amazing and quiet, which is what we were looking for. It was a bit uphill, but the staff would always gladly offer to take us up in the golf cart if we were tired to walk it. The bathroom was great, with plenty of water pressure and very hot water if needed. Fast to quickly fill the included bath tub. The room aircon worked very powerfully if needed, which was great to chill the room, and there's also a ceiling fan. Our room included a nice terrace to chill outside, which we used frequently. The breakfast buffet is luxurious in this hotel, including a mix of Asian and Western staples that change every day, then congee, salads, cereals, toasts and pastries and cookies, and your choice of eggs. You'll have to skip lunch if not careful. And the location is great in general. More about the middle of Lanta, a bit further from the most touristic/backpacker area, it has a quiet private beach to add to the hotel's infinity pool and decorative lake/pond. You also have a well equipped gym, a snooker and ping pong tables, a small library and playground if you have kids. We noticed the hotel staff writes a schedule of kid-friendly activities everyday on a blackboard for anyone to join. As we were arriving after a rather hectic trip, we chose their airport pick-up service. I think this option is not necessarily the cheapest, but their private luxury van made it really worthy, as it was super comfortable for the extra hour and half-ish ride from the airport.Guest review byJonHong Kong
- From $110.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 895 reviewsWe stayed here for 4 nights in May and what a wonderful choice it turned out to be. We had initially booked a garden view room but after looking around the resort we found that the sea facing rooms were wonderfully located. We asked for an upgrade and for 500 THB a night we moved into the sea facing rooms. Money very well spent. The room was functional, tidy, with a very comfortable bed, a huge sofa and a fabulous sit out with recliners facing the sea. Noteworthy, was the attitude and behavior of the staff. Always smiling, helpful and friendly, esp Moo, Nick and Alisa from front office and Bees from the wait staff. Housekeeping staff were very efficient too. Their response to messaging on Whattapp was fast and accurate. The food from the kitchen was fantastic and they could prepare the dishes you wanted even if it was not in the menu. Breakfast was really great. I'm stating this in spite of it being low season where there was no buffet breakfast but the staff did not let you miss it, as they were always obliging in their attitude. The location is absolutely on a quiet secluded beach, not the cleanest that I've seen in Thailand, and the nearest big store (Lanta Mart) or 7 Eleven is about 1.5 kms away. There are scooters available on hire, and Moo was so helpful when she showed us one. There is also a wonderful restaurant, Kho Kwang, 800 meters away, from where we got to see some of the most beautiful sunsets.Guest review byLeslie JosephIndia
- From $141.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 439 reviewsExcellent resort! Very nice facilities. We stayed in a villa with it's own pool, which I highly recommend. The main pool at the resort was also very nice. There were daily activities like yoga or biking. The villa was large and very well appointed with a beautiful view. There was a private beach which was beautiful and never crowded. There was a shuttle within the resort which was very convenient to use. The staff was top notch. The resort is located in a very quiet (and beautiful) area, a short ride to Walking Street for food and shopping. Tuk tuks were always available just outside the resort entrance to take you there. Very family friendly.Guest review byEdwardUnited States
- From $590.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 1,062 reviewsEverything about this hotel deserves a true luxurious 5 star. The service of the staff was impeccable, they have a driver/shuttle service that takes you anywhere on the resort with a simple phone call, the room was beautiful, very thoughtfully furnished and so cozy we actually did not want to leave the room, the breakfeast was DELICIOUS. We stayed in thailand for 3 weeks with over 5 different hotels but the Pimalai was the one who stood out the most & we wish we had stayed longerGuest review byMojdehCanada

Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.Guest review bySallySAustralia - 10.0
Gorgeous location.
Gorgeous location. Great for families or people not needing a party outside their door. Plenty of tour providers to keep your days well occupied (shoutout to Goodtime travel for being the best service I’ve seen in a long time). Highly recommend Mons cooking school too - so much fun. Take a trip down to beautiful beach for the most crystal clear water.Guest review byPhilippaAustralia - 8.0
During off season (July) the Island is reasonably quiet,...
During off season (July) the Island is reasonably quiet, many places are actually closed. Still, we had a great time. We had picked the right accommodation and were lucky with the weather, Still, it was often very windy with one powerful storm, which made the beaches useless: high bumper waves with rocks under the surf. Luckily, we had a great pool at our place. Things to do: Great local food everywhere and very affordable. Mangrove and island cave kayaking Elephant sanctuary (go for the 2hrs option if you can afford it) Old Town (great few form the pier and lots of tourist shops) National Park (jungle walk, lighthouse, beach) Many beaches to explore Scooter hires everywhereGuest review byWolfgangAustralia - 8.0
Koh Lanta is a nice island, I went at the end of the season...
Koh Lanta is a nice island, I went at the end of the season so not too many people. I think in peak season it might be uncomfortable with the number of tourists. The beaches on the west coast were amazing, we didn't go to any on the east coast, not enough time. Lots of restaurants and night markets. Great to walk along the beach and try different restaurants to eat lunch or dinner. The ethical elephant sanctuary on the south of Koh Lanta was an eye opening experience and changed my views. Lots of walks and waterfalls to see.Guest review bySalvatoreAustralia
