I have checked in at Ozone Cave Hotel and found it to be an interestingly designed hotel where you can experience staying close to nature, with beautiful rock formations. The room has high ceilings, almost 4 meters tall, which gives it a luxurious feel.

What a gorgeous hotel! Zee is paradise and such a relaxing retreat from the bustle of Koh Phangan. The private houses are beautifully designed with very nice layouts. All exit out on to the pool. The staff are all very nice and accommodating! They were quick to help us coordinate transfers from the Koh Samui airport and a motorbike rental. They work hard to keep everything at the hotel in top shape. There are some reviews that call out bugs in rooms. This is a jungle!!!! Every once in a while, a bug might get in. The people complaining probably left the giant front door open because it was beautiful outside, and a friendly bug crawled in from the stunning jungle landscaping. Get over it and enjoy being so immersed in nature. Super important: Great vegan options at the restaurant!!!

This was one of our favorite stays in all of Thailand. We ended up extending our stay and even came back after island hopping for a few more days. The staff is amazing and super helpful, thank you to Hermes for all his help and special thanks to Raymond for organizing a bbq on the beach, him and his family are wonderful! The room is spacious and very clean, the bed is comfortable and the Aircon works great, the bathroom is modern with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The pool is spotless clean and pool towels are provided. They have many beach beds and even 2 cabanas, they keep the whole beach area clean at all times. There's a bar, a restaurant and bathrooms in the pool area. There's a couple of motorbike rental places right around the corner. Lots of food options near by and even laundry service down the street. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed here during the full moon party and it was a bit of a gamble as this place had just 2 reviews. But after checking the negative reviews of nearby apartments I rolled the dice and picked this one. I am so glad I did. The host is wonderful and the location amazing. The place is very new and I think we were one of the first guests. It also comes with a 10% discount to the Italian restaurant next door where we could satisfy our craving for good lasagna. Highly recommend this place.

    This was by far the nicest place we stayed in Koh Phangan! The room was spacious and clean, towels were replaced daily, there was a shower (with 2 different heads) separated from the toilet by a wall (which has been hard to come by while budget traveling in Thailand). We had a deluxe double room (which is actually a nice, comfy king size bed) with a lovely patio that led out just steps from the beach. The beach is also very nice and quiet and although there’s no signage you do have to pay for the resort beach chairs/umbrellas (though only 250 baht for the day). Highly recommend this place!

    They have a vegan menu! They don't mention that anywhere so this was a great surprise. The place is amazing and everything about our stay was absolutely great: friendly and helpful staff, comfy room, super clean and beautiful pool, awesome bar/restaurant by the beach with great food. It was hard to say goodbye. Another thing that wasn't clear to us before we arrived: you can easily reach the beach from the bungalows. You basically walk less than a minute until you reach the bar, which is by the beach. It's great!

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

    This crescent shaped beach is probably my favourite on the island. NOT a party beach, no jet skis, no techno bars… it’s perfect It is, however, rather far from Thong Sala pier, and quite isolated, and the road is a treacherous one, but once you’ve checked in you probably won’t want or need to leave.
