I have checked in at Ozone Cave Hotel and found it to be an interestingly designed hotel where you can experience staying close to nature, with beautiful rock formations. The room has high ceilings, almost 4 meters tall, which gives it a luxurious feel.

Most importantly the friendliness and easy going vibe of the couple who owns and run the place. I personally enjoy having contact with people who feel real instead of an over zealous staff. You can rent a bike next door which makes it really easy upon departure when you have to return the bike.

Absolutely recommend to spend a couple of days in this paradise, it’s totally worth it. We had a beachfront bungalow and the view was absolutely gorgeous, the staff and owners are super nice and arranging, the food is good and the prices are okay - but the drinks are truly marvelous!

I loved everything about my stay here. The vibe is super peaceful and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming — you can feel they really care. My room was clean and cozy, with a beautiful sea view that made waking up each morning so special. The location is perfect — literally right by the beach. I could walk barefoot for sunset every evening, and it honestly felt like a little slice of paradise. For the price, it’s incredible value. On top of that, I was gifted a free morning yoga class, which was such a beautiful surprise. The class was deeply grounding and set the tone for the whole day. Stayed here during the full moon party and it was a bit of a gamble as this place had just 2 reviews. But after checking the negative reviews of nearby apartments I rolled the dice and picked this one. I am so glad I did. The host is wonderful and the location amazing. The place is very new and I think we were one of the first guests. It also comes with a 10% discount to the Italian restaurant next door where we could satisfy our craving for good lasagna. Highly recommend this place.

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    The night life - bars, cafés, markets, and I enjoyed getting a massage after all the walking around. There are many massage parlors and massages are so affordable here. Also, the service at the massage parlors is very good.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

    Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

    Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

    This crescent shaped beach is probably my favourite on the island. NOT a party beach, no jet skis, no techno bars… it’s perfect It is, however, rather far from Thong Sala pier, and quite isolated, and the road is a treacherous one, but once you’ve checked in you probably won’t want or need to leave.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

    Location - it was like a dream.

    Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.
