We stayed at this hotel and had our best night on Koh Tao. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the incredibly clean room, everything made us feel right at home. It felt like an authentic immersion into a Thai home. The hotel is very close to the port, and the staff are genuinely kind and caring. I highly recommend it.

Great location on a hill with amazing views. The lodge is still close to restaurants, bars, and shops. You can tell that the owner paid attention to every little detail, providing books, a yoga mat, music box, plates and cutlery, etc. Another big plus is that they organize your pick-up and drop-off at the pier, which makes traveling here super easy. We had an amazing time here, extended our stay for two more days and still were not ready to leave this place after a week. We really hope to come back one day!

    it’s our 3d time on Koh Tao, so far Haad Tien was the best resort we stayed at. the beach with white sand is perfectly clean and great for snorkelling as well as for kids to play in shallow water with sandy bottom. staff is welcoming and caring, always happy to help. amenities are also great, as well as buffet breakfasts with good choice. it is a bit remote from the pier area and sairee night life, but it was a great advantage since it is very clean and quiet. also the resort provides shuttles to the pier three times a day, also we used free unscheduled shuttle to get medical help at the clinic, which was very convenient.

    I stayed with my girlfriend and just had a wonderful time. I book a wooden chalet villa. The villa’s are nice. All villa are facing the amazing sea and Nang Yuan Island. The views from our villa was breathtaking and the swimming awesome and very safe. It was so romantic when you stay at night. Beds are comfy. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel that they are in true paradise, and who has some sense of adventure. I loved it, super relaxed, food was good. The resort staff is just so lovely and helpful. The owners where there during our stay, lovely people. Great Stay !

    Beautiful well maintained property on the edge of all the action so very quiet. Easy walk in two directions for bars and restaurants but both are right here and excellent. Very generous breakfast with lots of Thai and Western choices. And All the staff fantastic from the front desk, the restaurants, the cleaners and the pool guys Lots of loungers around the pool with swim up bar and someone there eager to help. Beach right there for a dip in the warm cleanish water. We extended our stay and will be back. Heather.*****

    We were upgraded on arrival and the room was available even though we had arrived early (~1030am) and they booked us on the half day snorkel trip (same day) as well as our leaving journey, the speed boat to Karbi. The staff were lovely and we extended our stay. The rooms were decent sized and its the simple things such as they're right on the beach and having a simple broom to sweep sand and a foot tap to wash feet makes a difference. The location is very convenient. Will stay again.

    stay here for the view! beautiful ocean view and shark bay view is magnificent! staff is so nice and friendly. service perfect. pool fantastic. we extended our stay and were moved to a quiet room as requested. everyday snorkeling at shark bay and saw turtles and baby sharks all the time. coral is dead but still lots of fishes. better than Tanote Bay. The turtle is very big, elegant. turtle is most often at the middle of shark bay.

    Everything, love the private beach, you pretty much have all of sharks bay to your self and the other guests and it’s not a super busy resort, amazing landscape, great rooms, very modern and up kept, two amazing pools, and the breakfast is amazing! Plus the staff truly goes out of there way very very friendly and they get you what ever you need right away.

    Beautiful resort with nice little villa's, in a great location for snorkling. Room's had the muscito nets though we didn't spot any in our room. Good to have them just in case. The scubadive shop onsite is great as well, was almost a private tour going to the main divesites around the island.

    Fantastic location.

    Fantastic location. I wish they could do little more on the breakfast . The room is ok. I don't like when you have to take shoe off when you go in the lounge or the restaurant. The lounge need to updated. Staff resting on rhe sofa too which is weird.

    Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. The locals are definitely trying to do all they can to save it. Brilliant food, amazing views and a fun island.

    We loved Koh Tao.

    We loved Koh Tao. Sairee beach is a great area but you can stay anywhere and still have access as it's such a small island. We took a boat trip out to the island for snorkelling which was fab. Don't book in advance. Go onto the beach and haggle with the locals to take you over as it works out so much cheaper especially if you are a family. Highly recommend breakfast at Mango Garden...go hungry!! All In all a beautiful island and great for families as not too crazy busy!
