The bungalow was cozy, clean, and perfectly nestled amidst the tranquility of nature. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious—every dish was prepared with care and bursting with flavor. Beyond the amazing accommodation and dining experience, Mark and Tee went above and beyond to help us arrange trips to the stunning islands around Ao Nang. Their local knowledge and willingness to assist made our exploration so much smoother and more enjoyable. What truly made our stay unforgettable was their warm hospitality. They welcomed us into their New Year’s Eve celebration like we were part of their family, creating memories we’ll cherish forever. We even explored some breathtaking spots together, which made our trip even more special.

Our stay at Baan Koh Kwang was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were hugged in warmth and hospitality by the resort owners. Their sumptuous al fresco dinners, shared with other guests, made us feel like part of a close-knit family. Initially planning a brief two-night stay, we were so captivated by the resort's charm and the owners' genuine care that we extended our stay to eleven days. Every thai meal prepared by Mommy Poy and her staff, from breakfast to dinner, was a delightful experience, made even more special by the owners' thoughtful and attentive service. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, arranging transportation and offering valuable recommendations for exploring the area. Nestled amidst a lush jungle, Baan Koh Kwang was an oasis of tranquility. The soothing sounds of nature provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. It was exactly the authentic Thai experience we had hoped for. Leaving Baan Koh Kwang was bittersweet, but we were touched by the owners' generosity in offering to take us to the airport. It felt like saying goodbye to dear friends. We are already planning our return and can't wait to experience this incredible place again. Baan Koh Kwang truly became our home away from home. Thank you so much Mommy Poy and Papa Charoon! Thank you much for making our holiday in Krabi unforgettable. It was a pleasure meeting you both. We will be back soon!

Everything! Especially the staff, everyone was so kind to me, I needed to get a shot of vaccine they helped me to find the clinic and even took me there free of charge, thank you for the exceptional service. 🥹The room was super clean and comfy! Just what I needed for my last night in Thailand before the flight. I had a good sleep away from the noise. If you are looking for a hotel in Ao Nang - it is the one. They are located a bit far from the beach but they have shuttle bus running 4 times a day! So it’s not a problem really

Beautiful garden with hammocks to chill, cozy dorm with only four beds. comfortable and super clean bathrooms. Well designed, you feel like home here. On Wednesdays they have a food market in the garden with life music, which was very cool. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great location for a mix of relaxing and party We loved it here- really tastefully done, and not a resort feel which is nice for Thailand The staff were excellent and it was nice to be able to chose brekkie The beach location is spot on and lots of places to hang in the sun or shade They were building a small pool I think in the basis of previous comments and I think that will be a nice extra touch The rooms are lovely - cool, decent WiFi in each room, tasteful decor and top bonus for the team providing a reusable water bottle in a country which still seems to be over using plastics

    This island has a very special place in my heart, so this was my second visit. Yes, from the U.S. all the way to this tiny island twice! I travel alone, and the property manager was clearly looking out for me the first time. So I went back a second time! On my first visit, they were working hard to recover from the Covid era, and I truly felt their plight. They had finished some projects and made some improvements the second visit and I hope they succeed. Feel wild and safe at the same time here! The private beach is rocky, but just put on some water shoes and swim anyway. The water is calm and pleasant. You can also walk to the end of the dirt road for a public beach that’s still tranquil with very few (if any) people for less rocks.

    Everything was amazing! We stayed in a King Suite Villa With a Jacuzzi - 2026 - and the view from the top was gorgeous! The mountain and the trees of Ao Nang were so scenic, especially when you're relaxing in your outdoor Jacuzzi. Breakfast was delicious too with a lot of Halal options and Ao Nang beach and market was nearby with a 7 11 right at your doorstep. We'll definitely be back again!

    The facilities were great, the room was spacious and stylish with a great view (we stayed in the room with an ocean view). The location is very convenient, not far from the beach where you can take a boat to famous beaches in Krabi. Both pools (rooftop and the ordinary one) were cool as well, nice place to chill. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to go to Aonang

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the...

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    It's a pretty rustic, typical old Thai town, the locals are lovely, peaceful people Krabi Airport :-Be sure to have some baht notes if you're taking a driver or taxi to your hotel- there are ATMs at Krabi airport but easier if you have cash The Friday & Saturday food markets are great for Thai foods of all sorts Take a long boat ride from along the riverside - a couple of hours touring the river and surrounds for 50 - 100 AUD Riverside Restaurant and Bar us a good place for dinner Blu Monkey is great little hotel

    Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.

    It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis. I ripped a pair of shorts at another pier which is not a great setup.

    It was a great time - I was there for the Oceanman event so...

    It was a great time - I was there for the Oceanman event so there were a lot of people around for the time and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was jellyfish season, so it was not the best time for swimming in the ocean. But it was still a beautiful area.

    I’m completely biased.

    I’m completely biased. I loved everything and everyone involved in the place. No favourite thing. Many favourite things. Jungle, sea, boats cars tuk tuk and all. Most importantly I had the best guided tours on offer. Thank you. One and all. Appreciated and greatful ❤️

    A quiet area, quite remote with no shops (that I saw) but...

    A quiet area, quite remote with no shops (that I saw) but this added to the tranquility of the area. About 50 minutes from the airport, but worth the trip. We could have eaten at other hotels but were happy with the choices at our resort.

    The location was perfect and the view of the temple was stunning the host ice was fantastic couldn’t be more helpful. Not far from the bars and restaurants Lovely little villa. Thank you ice for an enjoyable stay

    All restaurants and activities were near by or a short ride with a scooter. KoDam restaurant serves great Thai dishes and the same restaurant by the sea has a great view with the same prices as the one in Ao Nang.
