Our stay at Baan Koh Kwang was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were hugged in warmth and hospitality by the resort owners. Their sumptuous al fresco dinners, shared with other guests, made us feel like part of a close-knit family. Initially planning a brief two-night stay, we were so captivated by the resort's charm and the owners' genuine care that we extended our stay to eleven days. Every thai meal prepared by Mommy Poy and her staff, from breakfast to dinner, was a delightful experience, made even more special by the owners' thoughtful and attentive service. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, arranging transportation and offering valuable recommendations for exploring the area. Nestled amidst a lush jungle, Baan Koh Kwang was an oasis of tranquility. The soothing sounds of nature provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. It was exactly the authentic Thai experience we had hoped for. Leaving Baan Koh Kwang was bittersweet, but we were touched by the owners' generosity in offering to take us to the airport. It felt like saying goodbye to dear friends. We are already planning our return and can't wait to experience this incredible place again. Baan Koh Kwang truly became our home away from home. Thank you so much Mommy Poy and Papa Charoon! Thank you much for making our holiday in Krabi unforgettable. It was a pleasure meeting you both. We will be back soon!

As usual we had all we needed. We loved visiting the nearby night market next to us. Everything was fantastic. Every single staff member is lovely & caring! Wonderful place & people! Ao Nang Beach itself is nice, but there is SOOOO much...

Ao Nang Beach itself is nice, but there is SOOOO much traffic in the street, so not very relaxing. The best Ao Nang activity for me was to go to Railey Beach (10 minute boat ride) and enjoy the beautiful scenery, peace and quiet despite the many other tourists. The fact that there is no cars or motorcycles made it very peaceful, and in some beaches there would be no long-tail boats at all. A beautiful place. Also, price levels were pretty much the same as in Ao Nang.

The island is very beautiful.

The island is very beautiful. It's suitable for all types of tourists. The beaches are nice, although the best ones require at least a 20-minute walk. I was pleasantly surprised. Maya bay definitly worth a visit (only acessible by boat). The food is good and varied. The viewpoints are spectacular. Viewpoint 3 is quite far and a bit muddy, but if you're in good physical shape, you can get there easily. Those traveling with children or who have mobility difficulties should avoid accommodations in the mountains. Eat and drink places: THE COFFEE CLUB - Best coffee shop Anna's Restaurant - One of the best places to eat Garlic 1992 - Best restaurant Activities: Day snorkeling trip (if it's not raining). Reggae Bar Phi Phi to watch tourists fighting for fun (not recommended for young children) Beach fire parties (if you want to drink and maybe flirt). Less positive: It would be better to have less polluting and noisy local boats available to reduce pollution and noise. Perhaps with eletrical engines.

Beaches are beautiful around Koh lanta - hire a scooter if you can ride one and travel around the island - it’s small enough to do in a day but there’s also plenty of beaches that if you had it for a few days could spend time at different ones. KL old town is lovely as is the nature reserve and the lighthouse

It is definitely worth spending a few days in Krabi Town. It is very different from the tourist atmosphere in Ao Nang or other crowded tourist destinations in Krabi. Railay Beach is a gorgeous place to visit on your trip to Thailand, its much more relaxed than most resort areas. Tends to attract quite a few backpackers as there is a good selection of reasonable accommodation. Many people from all over the world and easy to access islands for boat trips daily. You can only get there by boat so has a really nice laid back vibe and the main event is usually the sunsets every evening. The beach is good to watch the stars from after dark. Quite magical.

On a rainy day it is boring as f... Very early morning at sunrise is the best time to walk on the beach and take pics. There are very few small shops and mostly mediocre restaurants and massage places

I’m completely biased.

I’m completely biased. I loved everything and everyone involved in the place. No favourite thing. Many favourite things. Jungle, sea, boats cars tuk tuk and all. Most importantly I had the best guided tours on offer. Thank you. One and all. Appreciated and greatful ❤️

Although the staff and location are great.

Although the staff and location are great. They double charged for our room as we reserve through Booking with our Credit Card but then we paid cash( yes I kept the receipt) then later after I reviewed my statement they had charged my CC. I reached out to them 1st per bookings police’s but they didn’t respond. I spent hours on the phone with booking uploading documentation, etc and still nothing is resolved. I am also frustrated with Booking!

Because of tides much of the beach disappeared during the day so you need to be at the right location at the beach to be able to lie on it. Be aware that the bottom can be a bit rough in some parts. Very nice beach otherwise and there is a relaxing wibe overall on the island. We had very good food and there is a fair amount of places to chose from

Great place to explore and to visit other islands by longtail or speedboats - however beware, islands we visited are indeed incredibly beautiful they are also overcrowded which takes away what could have been a beautiful experience. Railay beach just a fabulous place to visit by longtail boat and only costs thb 300 return When using boats you will need to be reasonably fit as access on and off boats can be challenging. Beach Fire shows are amazing and if you miss one at sunset a little further down the coast are more happening
