Seamless transfer fr airport to resort and back to airport always with smiling and helpful staff. Housekeeping was amazing. My son locked himself out of his rm at 9pm and housekeeping promptly sent a replacement keycard. Requests for extra amenities were promptly delivered. 2. Just gorgeous rooms. So huge, quiet, comfortable, clean and luxurious with fabulous views of the andaman sea. 3. While secluded and private, transport within the resort was no problem with the buggy almost always arriving soon after being requested. 4. The amazingly clean private pool- large enough for exercise laps and with a full view of the sea. Well kept grounds. Very few mosquitoes. Amazing! 5. The wonderful spa. A shout out to Mai the therapist who attended to me for her skill. Wonderfully relaxing. 6. All the staff who worked tirelessly, always smiling, very observant and with great initiative- from the security personnel manning the beach sala, always ready to assist, the reception staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping, buggy drivers, transport staff to and from airport. The staff were amazing. It has two huge pools and a beautiful private beach/ river to swim in. Loved the little village behind us to get a massage, drink, food, book tours or chat to locals! The individuals bungalows were absolutely gorgeous! Honestly probably the most beautiful unique resort we have ever stayed at. The staff were so accomodating and friendly. The resort is quite large but not a problem as they have a buggy service that picks you up within two minutes to take you places. We only used that at night as enjoyed riding the complimentary push bikes around the resort during the day. The restaurant was amazing. The seafood was the best we had in Thailand. The buffet was incredible. It was quiet and comfortable. Loved how it was away from the main part of the island. And don’t let that put you off either, you can easily get a long tail boat to and from the main island town. We would’ve love to visit again. If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.Guest review byDennisAustralia - 8.0

It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis.
