I had an amazingly restful stay here. The hotel is very clean, bright, and comfortable, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the location is very good, walking distance from the bus station and the riverside. The wifi and AC worked great, there's also a mini fridge in the room. Free coffee in provided in the lobby in the morning. There's a coffee shop next door and a 7-eleven just across the street. After my month in Laos, this hotel was a luxury.

+Clean, comfortable, basic room with good AC, cold fridge, kettle, tv, and balcony +Comfortable bed, desk and plenty of counter space +Lots of good natural light +Good lighting in the main living area but the bathroom was dim and a bit small but not uncomfortable (used detachable camera light to make it brighter by attaching it to mirror). +Shower unit worked well +Did not notice very much noise between rooms or floors, but could hear people in hallway if they were not considerate (not really any different than any other hotel anywhere) +On a quiet street so very little noise from traffic +Plenty of eating options nearby and short walk to walking street/Big C mini not too far +Easy to find massage shops and cafes nearby +can use bicycle to tour around town and easy to use local Grab +kind, friendly staff making you feel welcome every day and when there were some housekeeping issues they fixed it quickly. +daily water delivery and cleaning +good value for the money

    Where to start. I just stayed one night, but what a night it was amazing from the cleanliness of the place to large room the huge windows facing the Mekong river with a breathtaking sunset and sunrise, a wide selection for breakfast from Thai to western style and finally the staff were amazing, kind and so helpful. Especially Nok, thank you again for the help from sending my huge bike box across thailand and helping me with the crossing to Lao. I'll stay longer next time. If you are looking for a place to stay in Nakhon Phanom look no further.

    Interesting town and well worth a visit.

    Interesting town and well worth a visit. Alongside the Mekong river, it has some good restaurants and there seem to be mainly Thai visitors. Calm and pleasant atmosphere, friendly locals. Try to visit at the weekend when the "walking street" evening market is excellent.

    If you want to get well away from the current 'over-tourism'...

    If you want to get well away from the current 'over-tourism' fad, Nakhon Phanom could be for you. Nestled by the banks of the Mekong, this provincial capital, remote from Bangkok (but only an hour or so's flight away) boasts some excellent old architecture and a unique cultural vibe as it has a long established Vietnamese community and was Ho Chi Minh's home for a year or so in the late 1920's. You can visit his house. There is also an aquarium just outside town where one can view Giant Mekong Catfish. Banh Mi, Pho Noodles and Vetnamese Egg Coffee and other Vietnamese foods are available. You will probably see few international tourists and the experience is truly local and authentic.

    Always a good place to visit, good selection of places to stay and good food and bars about. A lot of conferences take place here also a lot of Thais come to visit. Been coming to region for over 15 Years.
