The sea view villa was amazing, we woke up to the sound and view of the sea. The beach is beautiful and impeccable, clear water and so blue.
The bar & restaurant was really relaxing, on the beach with excellent food too, well plated and a pleasure to the eyes and the palette.
We loved every attention to detail all over the resort.
The owner is a wonderful person, soft spoken open to ideas and is particular about making your stay comfortable.

I don’t know from where to start!
I needed a few days of full relax and reality was above my expectations. The staff was extremely nice and efficient.
The beach is few steps from the rooms with enough bed-chairs for everybody. The rooms are big and comfortable with amazing view. For people with limited mobility, it is recommended to ask for a room with beach access. The others are just few steps away ( reachable with stairs).
The hotel doesn’t have a gym or spa but the clients can use the facilities or the resort next door, including taking a shower at the spa before jumping on the boat that take you to the ao prao pier.
The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff very efficient.

This is a hotel with an apartment type option. We were in the one bedroom apartment and it was amazing. The place is big and well furnished. They were able to get us a great sea view. The staff is amazing, very friendly and many of them spoke English which isn't that common in Thailand. Parking was easy and breakfast was reasonable. Restaurant has many food choices, and the beach is just across the street. There are also a few beach restaurants nearby, plus two 7 Elevens. The place has many facilities including Tennis and Bowling (at a fee).

We had a cottage/bungalow that was advertised as a garden view, but there was no garden. Just trees and minimal landscaping. We extended our trip by one day and asked for a beachfront cottage/bungalow and it was fantastic. It also was much nicer in addition to the view. So, my advise is pay the extra for a beach view.

Extremely clean, trained staff, family friendly resort, for me the only one on Samed. beach Club, great food variety, breakfast offers for each culture their food, chinese, thai, western, egg station. You can sit inside or outdoors in the shadow.

It's one of my favorite beaches in Thailand, close enough to Bangkok that you don't have to fly, but far enough away that the water is beautiful and the sand is white and soft. I always stay at the same resort on Tubtim beach (Tamarind), and it never disappoints - I don't even leave for food because their food is always delicious!

Rayong is a not too big city on the Gulf of Thailand with great beaches. what I miss is good restaurants and coffee houses. it is all very Thai, not clean, a lot is broken and will never be repaired. streets are good, Thai driving crazy and dangerous. Thailand is the number one in road accidents and casualties in the world. Thai just do not care. that has also its positive, Thai are not easy to shock. see the acceptance of gay and so on.

The area is perfect for a peacefull holiday. We did not have enough time to explore everything in the area. I avoid the heavily tourist areas on purpose so can't comment. I went for a quiet family holiday and that was fulfilled.

Simply the best hotel we have ever stay at. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast great. Had a Cobb salad for the first time in the restaurant. Woukd highly recommend it. Happy hour cocktails at the pool are two for one so you are paying 125 baht per cocktail. Great price!

This resort has it all, perfect accommodations, price, restaurants. When things get back to normal again, they will have a coffee, cake shop, souvenier shop, multiple swimming pools and very clean beach. Mostly very hospitable staff. I have returned there many, many times and it has never been a disappointment ever. Almost feel like family when we go there now, everyone who has stayed remembers us. This is perfect for anyone, single, couple, families too. Once you find it, you return over and over again, I do.

Beach garbage a bit normal amount. Not too dirty but you can never get too much of cleanliness. Cleanliness can always be improved.
We brought a lot of food so not much buying around from eateries.
Safe small road, which avoids vehicles to overspeed.
What to avoid? Just avoid being the person to add garbage on the beach.

Loved the Viking Holiday Resort where we stayed. It was very peaceful and just what we needed - good access to beaches and quiet.
However there are problems on Ko Samed as many resorts have gone out of business and are derelict - unfortunately with rubbish piling up outside them and nothing being done about that. So it really depends where you stay!
