I had a great stay at Ulysse Palace Djerba. The entire staff were so professional and showed true hospitality. they were accommodating to my elderly mom. So helpful and kind. I will definitely go back again to enjoy a longer vacation. kudos to all especially Adel, Ilyès, latifa, Manal, tahani, and Issam F&B manager. Thank you for your hard work and going above and beyond. Unforgettable Island of Forgetfulness

Djerba is so relaxing that it’s called the ‘Island of Forgetfulness’. But that doesn’t mean your stay won’t be unforgettable. Far from it. Djerba has an incredible sunshine record and wonderful beaches with calm, turquoise waters.

It was in antiquity that this Tunisian gem first came to the fore, with a mention in Homer’s Odyssey. More recently, Ajim was a film location for the 1st Star Wars film. Inland Erriadh is the closest town to it and is home to impressive El Ghriba synagogue, over 2000 years old and with vibrant blue tiles inside.

Most Djerba hotels, all inclusive ones included, are found along the north coast and many have spa facilities. Several are in Houmt-Souk, the largest town and the closest to Djerba Airport. Its name means marketplace, and it’s easy to see why, with its colourful markets selling handmade goods.

Mezraia is around the corner from the Ras R’mel peninsula which offers a seasonal home to migrating flamingoes. Just east, Midoun has typical domed, whitewashed buildings and Djerba Explore Park which has a surprisingly large collection of Nile crocodiles. Nearby Aghir has a long beach with a lighthouse silhouetted during the beautiful Djerba sunsets.

Affordable Prices: Dar Bibine offers excellent value for money. We chose the cheapest room, which still provided direct access to the pool. 2. Delicious Breakfast: The Belgian host, Gerard, went above and beyond, serving us French toasts, eggs, homemade jams, pastries, and fresh lemonade. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding. 3. Cozy Pool: While the pool was small, it was perfect for my partner and me, often having it to ourselves. It provided a great place to relax and cool off. 4. Comfortable Beds: The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep, allowing us to fully enjoy our days exploring Djerba. 5. Artistic Decor: Dar Bibine's decor was a feast for the eyes, with numerous art pieces and unique utensils like knives and glasses from artists adding a special touch. 6. Convenient Location: Located in the Djerba hood, the guest house is nestled in an open-air museum-like environment. It offers easy access to the main town, airport, and beaches, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. 7. Attentive Host: Gerard, the host, was incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring a warm and welcoming stay. 8. Impeccable Cleanliness: The housekeeper was not only incredibly nice but also maintained the guest house in impeccable cleanliness. 9. Spa Services: Dar Bibine offers spa services. We had a fantastic massage by Dora. Her massage added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay, and it's a great option for guests seeking some pampering. Overall, Dar Bibine exceeded our expectations on every front, from affordability and comfort to hospitality and spa services. It's a hidden gem in Djerba, and I can't wait to return for another delightful stay.

All the staff at the hotel, including those at the reception (particularly Mr. Bassam Ben Attia and Mr. Fathi from Zarzis, who were very welcoming and super friendly while being very professional), restaurant, animation team, cleaning service, pool, and beach, were outstanding ! They treated us with exceptional politeness, genuine smiles, and a high level of service. The hotel itself is beautiful, well located, safe, and impeccably clean, offering all the facilities one could need. We loved strolling around the property and participating in the various interesting animation sessions that were led by dynamic, energetic, joyful and super hard working young men. The food was truly exceptional; we relished the diverse, delicious, clean and super freshly prepared meals throughout the day. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and deeply appreciated the experience. The graffiti art in Djerbahood is definitely worth visiting as is the nearby ancient synagogue. Hamt soukh is interesting but beware of some of the traders as they can be so pushy and hence over priced. Dont be afraid to bargain hard. There are some amazing quiet beaches that are off the beaten track that taxis will take you too and pick up and they are so inexpensive it is cheaper than getting a hire car. We had a four hour tour with a driver for only £35. We visited during Rammadan so there were limitations of bars and restaurants but not at the hotels.

Djerba is a beautifully, calm and relaxing island with good weather and lots of activities to enjoy. Most things are absolute value for money with food options plenty. The island is pretty easy to get around although for convenience, I’d recommend hiring a car.

Nice friendley neighbours and nearby shops . it was great being in an apartment so I was able to cater for myself it gave me the freedom of doing what I wanted. Taxis prices were really affordable and a local bus service was available to get around the island.
