We love Istanbul and Turkey.
We love Istanbul and Turkey. The history, culture, food and people are unique and we have already been a few times. With over 15 million people living in Istanbul there are areas where it could be cleaner but overall the hospitality industry over delivers in our opinion. Nothing about this stay was good. The staff were unsupportive, unhelpful, and could not communicate in English, making even the simplest requests frustrating. There was no effort to assist guests or provide a pleasant experience. Tuzla is a wonderful area on the edge of Istanbul.

We were in Sakarya last year and visited only the park with the airplane transformed into library and restaurant. Really nice place to visit, also we eat great pide there in the park restaurant. Сool little town with friendly people, different restaurants and cafes, big and small shops, great food market, marina and promenade by the sea. I recommend for a couple of days, also to visit the thermal springs in the mountains once. Get to Yalova by ferry from Istanbul in 1.5 hours.
