The place is small, only 4-5 rooms, and it is taken care by a group of 4 amazing girls that treated us very kindly. They are excellent cooks, and very good company - we enjoyed talks in the fireplace with them, and the two baby cats Simba and Señorita. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and abundant, and you can try many typical food from Tanzania. On the first day we had a late arrival and they waited for us and cooked us some dinner, that was very nice from the girls :) We really enjoyed our time in Swahili Villa and would recommend it to everyone that is staying in the city for one or a few days.

We arrived by bus from far away after 11 pm, and within 10 seconds of ringing the bell, we were already checked into the apartment. The breakfast is good.

The house and the surrounds are beautiful and peaceful with different little areas to relax in..by the pool, in the hammock, day beds in the garden etc. The place is breathtaking at night when the fire pit and garden lights are lit and you can have a beer at the little bar and watch the sun go down with the dogs at your feet. But by far the best thing about Stasumo was our hosts, Cecile and Marley. (and Issah of course) Nothing was enough trouble, arranging transport, cooking delicious dinners, doing our laundry, providing water, irons, bottles of wine etc...we learned a lot and laughed even more. It was a really special, very personal experience. They truly felt like friends for the four days we spent there. Thank you so much for everything. We will treasure the memories.
