Wasn’t very crowded (it was a Monday through Wednesday trip in September)so it makes sense. Sky Park was great. Getting around was easy this time. Always enjoy Gatlinburg. Was hoping to see a bear (from a little distance, of course), but not this trip. Always next time!Guest review byCarolUnited States - 10.0

My group toured the Biltmore and property. We also stayed at the Omni Grove Park Inn! We ate one evening at the Corner Kitchen and we were very glad to support Asheville in coming back after their flood. We also at on the Terrace at Grove Park Inn one evening. That venue is bar none the best in the USA.Guest review byAbles RigsbeeUnited States - 8.0
Relaxing getaway.
Relaxing getaway. One full day with one overnight is sufficient unless you plan activities outside of town. Locals welcoming. Very dog friendly. Hofbrauhaus Restaurant soso. Betty's is an establishment not to miss. Check out Moon Stay and Play if you need dog boarding. Very accommodating.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10.0

Cherokee has really done some growing since I was there shortly after the pandemic. Great new eateries, nice hotels. Getting around Cherokee was easy. Husband and I are both seniors and we did the Oconaluftee River tubing. We had a ball! Highly recommend. Only wish we had planned to stay in Cherokee longer.Guest review byCovingtonUnited States - 6.0
Roanoke, VA has NO CABS.
Roanoke, VA has NO CABS. You must get an Uber or Lift if you do not want to drive to a dinner destination. The hotel did not inform us that there would be a parade on Saturday, and many streets were closed as a result. So driving around wasn't easy.Guest review byPalfreyUnited States - 8.0

I really liked it, but I would need to visit again to really look around and visit the sites. I only traveled there to go to Buc-Ees. Didn't know that it was game day for the University, so next year, I may make it an entire weekend to visit the sites and get a ticket to the game.Guest review byYolandraUnited States - 10.0

Old Town Winchester was a very nice place to walk around and checkout the little shops. There were numerous eateries and drinkeries to visit in a pedestrian-only area. Free on- street parking on weekends is a welcome amenity.Guest review bywilliamUnited States - 10.0

My daughter flew to Pittsburgh and our trip began with a two day stop in Lancaster before heading to Hagerstown. She was so delighted at how beautiful and well organized the visitors center was and how well staff it was with such knowledgeable individuals who are incredibly invested in their jobs as they share fascinating yet horrific stories of the loss of so many lives as mostly men fought to make the changes needed for this country to become the start of the nation that we know today. Actually seeing graves and fields so vividly described as they were transformed into mass murder scenes. We all left the area sad, yet so thankful to all of the men who fought and died for all of us. The area around the battlefields and memorials is easy to walk and full of interesting shops and beautiful scenery.Guest review byJosephUnited States - 10.0
Great little town with a variety of restaurants.
Great little town with a variety of restaurants. Didn't like having to pay to park anywhere near the shops and restaurants on King Street. The Peddler steakhouse was delicious and traffic was very light all weekend. The foggy mountain gem mine was fun sifting through the soil to find gems. Found some really cool stuff and the staff actually takes time to sort through your entire bag to explain what you found. The wife is having them cut & polish a rose quartz we found and is having it set in a ring for less than $90.Guest review byBrianUnited States - 8.0

Although there is road construction within the premises of the hotel property, I drove in to the local town to eat. There were a lot of unique and interesting places. I am a pizza "snob" and found "Moon Dog Brick Oven" to satisfy my tastes; I ordered a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza that was very tasty and reasonably priced. I also walked along the main drag and found an ice cream place ("Frozen in Time") that served Hershey's Ice Cream (a favorite of mine). The locals were very friendly, and the town was very picturesque.Guest review byMargaretUnited States
