Fun downtown area.
Fun downtown area. The "riverwalk" is a nice addition that I hadn't experienced in past visits. Great to see the old pizza place and taffy shop still in existence. The visitor center free parking is a super nice thing to have for this town. I wish other tourism based communities would follow suit. We especially enjoyed the free concert in the park featuring Cowboy Brad!Guest review byStephenUnited States - 10.0
We hiked to Hanging Lake one morning.
We hiked to Hanging Lake one morning. It is worth the sweat and long climb! One must make reservations because the number of people allowed on the trail is limited, which makes for a better overall experience. We ate lunch at a great restaurant in Glenwood Springs, Smoke. Excellent food and service. I recommend the macs and cheese with burnt ends! My husband had the brisket sandwich, which was also excellent.Guest review byRhodaUnited States - 10.0

Lots of good restaurants in the Grand Junction area, good...
Lots of good restaurants in the Grand Junction area, good book stores, and a sweet gift shop called Rebel Treasures with unique items and a very nice owner right next to the Goat and Clover Tavern. ebiking was great--paved paths right off Las Colonias park area. Gmaps said it was closed Labor Day but we didn't find any closures. Palisade is nearby, where we rode in the streets, picked our own peaches, tasted some wine. Always love stopping at Restoration Vineyards for wine, fun, and food. We hit a few ice cream spots, Third Bowl Homemade Ice cream has some unique flavors and really friendly personnel. Graff Dairy is fun. Palisade had The Milky Way, really friendly and very good gelato. The Pie Shop in Palisade has marvelous pies, hand pies, full size pies, etc.--so many choices and changing all the time. The Grand Mesa is nearby, a nice drive through the forest with a lot of lakes. Overall, Grand Junction/Palisade area has a lot of things to do for the young and older (we're older) generations.Guest review byMaryUnited States - 10.0

We stayed at the Doubletree in Ifill in Aurora and it was a convenient location to the Wings Over the Rockies Museum (recommend), the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (recommend) and Stanley Marketplace (also recommend). Also, don't miss Blue Pan Pizza. We had the Detroit style pizza and I'm still thinking about it! Don't be put off by the crazy disinformation about Aurora. We had a lovely visit here and never felt unsafe.Guest review byAngelaUnited States - 8.0

Fort Collins has a vibrant city center with almost no shuttered businesses. There were plenty of decent restaurants (not so much the big Mexican one on the corner) and things to do and see. My first wife was from here but passed away in 1998. She would be shocked at how much this city has grown since our last visit in 1995. If I had to live in a city, I could do a million times worse. Also, for beer lovers like myself, there are many local beers to try and some are very good!Guest review byMarkUnited States - 4.0
Where do I begin?
Where do I begin? Upon arrival, the hotel did not honor my request that they pre-confirmed at the time of my reservation for a room Not facting the freeway. I checked in 30 minutes after check-in begins. No way they were all full on one entire side of the hotel. Also, the elevators were out of order! No sign at all they were being worked on the entire time we stayed there (3 days). Also, some online listings indicated this hotel had a pool. Upon check-in, the staff said, "we don't have a pool". We saw through the windows they clearly had a pool! However, it was being used as a storage room! Staff also said there was no public restroom in the lobby, even though there is a sign for one! Staff is general was very unhelpful and had a "whatever" type attitude. Breakfast was "ok" I suppose, for being free, but pretty low quality (powdered "eggs" from a bag, etc.). The bath tub creeked so loudly when in it it sounded like the cheap plastic was going to give way! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE, FOR ANY REASON.Guest review byE.K. - 10.0
Pueblo is full of hidden gems.
Pueblo is full of hidden gems. The Spectacular train depot, downtown classic architecture-especially the county courthouse, the river walk, a charming historic downtown, Pueblo Lake State Park (one of the best in the state), the BEST city library I've ever seen and a really top-notch Art Museum/event center. and more. It has much going for it, and its people are special--friendly and caring. BTW- it has a Dairy Queen that is in the same location, with the same building and equipment from the 50's and makes awesome ice cream treats!Guest review byDavidUnited States
