The apartment is superb. We were able to leave our luggage, and some beverages, in before it was clean for us. We returned to the apartment after the 4pm check in time. We appreciate all the beach items in the place, chairs, cooler, towels. We rented a car and took some trips and these items were very nice to have.

The owners of this home have done an exceptional job furnishing and updating it in a tasteful and comfortable manner. The photos do not really do it justice. I was actually worried and had even tried to cancel the booking but I'm glad I did not. The home is spacious, bright, and beautiful. The beds were super comfortable as were the sofas in the living room. I would describe the motif as where Safari meets Aloha. The view is very nice looking towards a lava field then a golf course then the mountains. We were really impressed with the amenities. They had snorkel equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs , and two bikes! The washer and dryer are beautiful brand new full size machines it might take you a while to figure out because they are quite high tech. The kitchen was fully stocked and they even brought us a blender upon request, which we greatly appreciated.

A short distance from breathtaking waterfalls and within driving distance of Hawaii National Volcanoes Park, SCP Hilo Hotel offers comfortable accommodations and a swimming pool. SCP Hilo Hotel was perfect for our short stay. It was in a great location for what we needed, especially if you have a rental car. The hotel grounds are beautiful with tropical gardens throughout. The pool was great too. Free coffee and tea is always a bonus. Good restaurants and cafes nearby. I especially loved that part of your payment goes towards four different and important charities including support for the environment and for vulnerable families.

Kailua-Kona
I stayed at the Big Island Retreat while competing at the Ironman World Championship. What a stunning find, a perfect hotel for the race, close enough to Kailua-Kona to be accessible, far enough away to avoid the chaos. If you like older buildings, this is the place, so nice to stay in a room with real character It wasn't cheap, but still great value compared to the crazy prices that other places charge. Big room, lovely veranda, excellent cooking facilities, great bed, plenty of parking
The bay-view rooms are fantastic--we saw the snowy peaks of Mauna Kea clearly. The hotel is situated almost within Liliuokalani Gardens, which was rated as the most scenic picnic spot on the Big Island by Lonely Planet. Tree frogs sang in the evenings in March and created a summer feel. Ample and free parking on the premise. The steak restaurant has bay views, too, and served large portions.
Honomu
Very cool farm stay while we were on the Big Island. Host was next door in a separate apartment so anything we needed was just a quick text away. Really clean and felt like it was newly built. It does run on solar so you may have issues during cloudy stays, but we had sunny days when we stayed there so I can't say what it is like when the battery isn't getting charge.
Pahoa
we loved our time here! Irene is the BEST host. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, and the lovely chats. This is far from your typical hotel experience, but we loved the uniqueness of it. And Irene has so many great tips on what to do while you’re on the Big Island. Highly recommend staying here; thank you Irene and hope to see you again one day!
Punaluu
The Sea Mountain is a great hotel or more like apartments rental that has all you need for a medium to long stay on the Big Island and in the same area of the Big Island. The apartment that has a fully equipped kitchen was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff was also very welcoming and friendly!
Kailua-Kona

Pepeekeo
Great little eco hotel tucked away in the Big Island countryside and very close to Akaka Falls.
Check-in was easy considering it is a huge property
Staff was very friendly and the one bedroom apartment has a good size. The fully equipped kitchen was also very convenient!
Awesome efficiency very clean and great location to shopping and Beaches
This resort is really wonderful. We had an ocean view room, which was wonderful. The rooms are really well appointed and clean; functional as well given that this is a beach resort. The landscaping of the resort is outstanding. There are different pools and the beach, of course. The "adult" pool also works for lap swimming and is not so busy. There were always enough deck chair to use at the pools and beach and the service is generally very good, with friendly and helpful people. A highlight is really the sunset, which can be watched from the beach, the restaurants and bar, or just from a chair. We had a massage (mine was OK, my wife really liked hers), took a canoe/snorkling trip and I took a SUP class. The water classes were great and easy to book. The gym is great, with indoor and outdoor section. There are two main restaurants. The canoe house is amazing. Truly great Hawaiian and fusion cuisine, really well executed with great service. While it is expensive it is worth the money - maybe save some wine pricing by the glass for quite ordinary choices. The Halani/Ha Bar place is good but - like in all of the area - the prices are elevated to a silly level ($30 for a burger with so so fries). There is also a market that makes sandwiches and such and is great, with long opening hours. Service attention was great. We were asked for our departure plans and shared that we would be leaving after lunch. The hotel offered late checkout on their own Initiative.
The whole property is beautiful and well maintained. We felt it was luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The attention to the gardens was really appreciated, it's one of those details that contributes to the overall feel of the complex. It was nice to have a selection of pools to use and we enjoyed the tennis courts too.
This place is very special. On arrival I was greeted by Becky who was so helpful about my stay. On arrival into the room I was so very pleased, it was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated with lots of space. The bathroom has everything you need including heated towels rails and there is a heater in the room when it gets nippy (as it did during my stay in the evening). I ate dinner twice and breakfast once in the restaurant, the staff were accommodating and the food great. There are few options for food in the village so having the restaurant as part of the hotel was very helpful.
great location, parking, kitchenette, right on water gorgeous views!
